Mentor Players Kicking newer players from Duty Ques for low DPS

I agree! Thank you. I dont have a problem kicking someone who is rude or not playing their role correctly. But if you are trying and you understand the mechanics and you are being friendly why kick? Why not take the extra few minutes to help that person clear the content they need cleared? I dont ever go into a dungeon with the mentality of ima get carried. I always watch guides before entering. So what i do 500 less dps..

They got kicked twice in a row though and that's odd I see low dps all the time and have maybe seen a vote kick in dungeon 1-2 times in over 2 years due to dps and that was because they doing something like spamming blizzard or something extremely noticeable most people for the most part will put up with a low dps it's a tank/healer that gets booted the majority of the time.

Read before YOU post. Stating that I had met the minimal requirements for that instance means i had the gear lvl required to clear the dungeon. I just wasnt overgeared like people who have more then 2 months into the game would

I am saying that you need to understand that there are 3 other real-life people in a 4-man group. You are 1/4th of the team and that's all you are. All you've done in this topic is talk about your situation, about how you feel wronged, about what you deserve.

What you should be thinking about is not what you want, but what you all are. In this case, you all want to clear the dungeon.

I play on a JP data center. An apt summary of the difference between NA and JP is that on a NA server, people think about how the group is holding them back. On JP servers, people think about how they're holding the group back.

All you've done this topic is talk about how getting kicked from that group hurt your gaming experience. All you've done is talk about how that group prevented you from doing the story. Where is the self reflection? All I hear are excuses. When people tell you how the 3 other people might've felt, all you've done is dismiss that perspective with ridiculous garbage like "I pay my sub."

I can assure you that if you had done more to be prepared for Sohr Khai, then no one would think about kicking you. You mention the minimums but seriously, if I had a kid and they came home from school with straight Ds and told me it was okay because they met the minimums, I wouldn't throw them a celebration. I would throw them into a jail cell with nothing but a teacher and textbook.

Now to the point about mentors, whether they were a mentor or not does not justify the kick. The fact they had a crown holds no bearing on this really. You don't need a crown to give advice and when you do you should not go into this victim blaming rant some of you have on this thread. The Op got kicked and was upset that is fine. People keep harping on them for not being prepared, even though they have stated multiple times they read guides ahead of time. I would suggest reading before speaking.

So just because OP doesn't have the latest ilevel, they should be EXPECTED to be kicked? How is OP supposed to gear up if they get kicked for not fulfilling your high ilevel requirements?

Also, you say "no one is defending them" but in the same breath you say "Op cannot be surprised to be kicked" ?! That is contradicting yourself. Saying kicking for low ilevel is justified means you ARE defending them.

Fact is: OP met the minimum ilevel requirements for the duty. That means they can complete the duty. Maybe not with as high dps as some people expect, but kick for "low ilevel" was NOT justified.

Only reason would be if they inflated their ilevel with wrong equipment (for example intelligence gear on Bard).

Im glad you havent left because for 1 I really like your perspective on things but 2 how wrong you are. Stating what did happen to me was wrong. I wasnt overgeared yes. I didnt invest in raising the lvl of other classes for CC yes. But seeing as I wasnt toxic, said hello and stated i was new with knowledge of the mechanics AND meeting the ilevel requirements means i possessed the abilities to clear that instance. No other way around it you cant tell me im wrong. THAT is my issue. Not your parenting advice.

Difference in game style is a valid reason to kick so they were justified in kicking them if the party agreed that the OP wasn't playing correctly.

People are so easy to jump on the mentor hate bandwagon.

Get Blood for blood, it gets paired with hawk eye for barrage empyreal arrow, Invigorate is a must. These two skills are mandatory as a dps.

I canget into Alexander 9 savage wearing a mix mash of ilevel180 gear and i270 gear. The minimum ilevel was intended to be for people with gear which is roughly of the same ilevel for example if minimum ilevel was 240, it was made for people with mostly i240 gear. The only thing getting you passed the minimum ilevel is your 250 gear. All that ilevel 150 gear doesn't get synched up, so your dps will be hugely hindered because of that discrepancy.

You're a new player, I'm not, I know more than you on these matters. Don't argue with me.
