Garo MGP Vendor?

Seriously though, PvP in FFXIV isn't that bad if we compare it to other games. Is there toxicity? Of course, but it's definitely not as rampant as, say, League of Legends or F2P MMOs. I hated PvP before I started doing Frontline for the daily roulette (gotta get those tomes) a few weeks ago and now I actually enjoy it. I haven't tried Feast yet and I heard things can be a little more heated over there, but they shouldn't be too much on unranked matches and since the achievement doesn't ask us to do ranked matches, I'll be doing unranked. So at least give it a go? Just have to be patient and understand that you will get awful parties and you will lose. There's no escape from either of those things when you're playing with randoms.

Besides, for y'all minion collectors, the cheerleader minion can only be acquired from the Wolve's Den materia vendor (15k marks). And if anything, this Garo set is iLvl 235. I'm wondering if it'd be better to use that instead of the Hailstorm set until I can get something better...

Check the vendor. MNK, casters, ranged, and healers have a male and female version for each, but PLD, WAR, DRK, DRG, and NIN have their own non-gender-locked sets. So you'll need to buy 9 sets (126k), but all 13 weapons (52k) = 178k wolf marks, not 234k as some others have reported.

THANK YOU for not caving, and adding the MGP vendor in earlier thus crushing PVP while it now lives.

We need this gear as incentive, to attract new people. I hope the MGP is a higher cost, in comparison to the Wolf Marks. The Wolf Marks cost is extremely low as is, and it only takes a few matches for each set, this is MILES better than the Yokai event.

Please do not offer the mounts for MGP.

Yours sincerely, a person who isn't a PVP enthusiast, but a person who realizes that the PVP community need incentives and rewards to keep it active.

Agreed, agreed, agreed (though I do love Frontlines PVP, not so much the Feast).

Make the MGP gear undyeable, extremely expensive (a la the Gambler and Bunny sets), and no mounts for sale. Those SHOULD remain exclusive to the achievements.

It's already been stated the mounts will remain exclusive to the Achievements. The MGP gear has also already been stated to be undyeable.

You don't need to purchase the shield to get the paladin achievement either, which brings it down a little more.

Yeah, the majority of the evidence points to it being here to stay, but it would be nice to have some kind of official confirmation of that, given that the general impression ahead of time was that it would be similar to the Yokai event.

Any chance of a confirmation about the time period that the gear will be available. I see no reason why the PVP versions should be limited.

Can anyone here tell me when this Garo event ends? I don't seem to see any mention of it on the website.

We haven't even gotten a clear answer about whether it will end.

Some players are speculating that it's a permanent part of the game, based on the lack of a specified end-date and the fact that achievements aren't listed under the Seasonal tab of the achievement log. Others are speculating that it's a limited time event based on it being a crossover, being referred to as an event, and on a comment a while back that it would last longer than the Yo-kai event. Or perhaps it could be some kind of combination, like the gear is only available for a limited time, but the mounts are permanent. I don't know.

That the MGP vendor items that are a part of this aren't being added until 3.55 means it's clearly longer than that at least. I think that's the most specific thing we truly know.
