Unlike the European plate however, a lot of the weight of the Samurai armor was on the shoulders and made it uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time, not to mention the amount of silk used in the sets meant it became much heavier if it ever got wet. The difference in mobility between the two also isn't particularly night and day, both types of armor required training to move effectively in it, and while the samurai armor likely offered a bit more maneuverability it was by no means by a wide margin.Quote:

Historically, samurai wore many different types of armour. It all depends on the era and especially the weapons used (especially the chest piece changed material/shape often depending on the enemy's weapons). The most common sets of armour though are a plate chestpiece, plate helm, combination of splint and chain for gloves and lower legs, splint with cloth backing for upper legs, etc.
Like Shippuu said though, historical accuracy shouldn't be considered, as it'll ruin pretty much everyone's view of a samurai ;) -

SAM tank, itll probably be an OT damage alternative to WAR, I can see it having a greased lightning stacks sort of mechanic, raid utility equal to DRK, so.... yeah. Best OT damage. least mitigation, aoe provoke probably.(I'd be amazed if they gave it a gap closer and said it was balanced)
