He's right, Betel, as calling PR a third-world country would be incorrect. This place ain't even a country!
But seriously now, did anyone notice "patch 1.20" and "job system" being mentioned in the same general vicinity, or am I going crazy?
I'll be staying on the multi-regional servers. I have never had an issue (xenophobic or otherwise) with Japanese, German or French players in XI, and I don't suspect I will in XIV either.
I always felt the cross-culture nature of the servers in XI made the game that much more interesting. I'd even get into some conversations - albeit short and not very fluid - with players from other regions via the autotranslator.
So, regardless of how they do that, I'll be sticking to the mult-regional servers.
Maybe they can try to have multi-regional servers, but instanced contents dislocated? :)
Fighting Ifrit here in Europe is a pain in the ass XD Especially for mages XD
they can't work all day two version of the game for free .
someone must pay
if they asked money for those who doesnt like the game as it is at the current version ...its not right and thats why those customers will take for free the version 2
but customers that enjoying the current version must pay and it s ok..version 2 is free and for us who bought the game 1 year ago
i m fine with this
Personally I have some concern over the part regarding transferring/converting items that was mentioned. Now I know this isn't 100% accurate, but would the dated items we have currently be gone for good? Until they add in the coloring system there's certain pieces of gear I want to keep since they're not usable by other classes. There's also some gear (Kecks for example.) that are usable by all classes but aren't when dealing with their non-dated counterparts. Also I'd like to be able to keep some of this gear for in the future, you know, for when the gear's pretty much extinct but still exists. Other games have this where gear will be usable by certain classes/jobs it otherwise cannot be used by. But of course it no longer exists so this piece is considered "rare".
And there you have it, they need funds.
Oh dear, leave it to these forums to blow something like that out of proportion.
Personally, what excited me about Stan's translation was:
Quote:
Concerning gil, we plan to implement features such as Housing, Changing the color of equipments, Barbers and other similar features where they are repeatable, gil-consumable content.
/cheer :DQuote:
Barbers
Your translation has several innacuracies. You should probably leave messages of this import to be translated by someone else (ie professionals). This is the face of a producer to his players and requires more than a "stab."
Not sure if someone has mentioned this or not, but I think they way they plan to split up servers will make a lot of sense. By having both language specific servers along with global servers I think both sides will benefit. This way those Japanese and English speaking players who want nothing to do with each other can segregate themselves accordingly. Meanwhile those on a "global" server will be the ones who want to experience the game with other cultures, making it in all likelihood a more accepting and friendly global environment than it is now. As an English speaker with some Japanese knowledge and a love of many other cultures and languages, I will definitely be choosing a global server, and I think many will do the same.
