Suggestion: Allow Free Transfers TO European Data Center

just give everyone the possibility to change server for free for 2 weeks, done.
not like this is the first time we had such a scenario.

Most populated, or at least most locked, is Balmung, which anyone on Chaos datacentre can now transfer to for free, making it even more oversubscribed. Free transfers to Chaos would even that out.

Well i guess people need to grow a brain then when it was said in the announcements "We recommend you choose a Server in your region" and what EU means - pretty strange that Chaos has always consisted of EU Servers only isn't it?

• Wrong - Servers were listed EU or NA in Open Beta in the Server List when you logged in - get your facts right: Only the Datacenters where marked as NA/EU where you clicked on - i don't give a damn about your World Transfer Screenshots that you post again and again - you could've looked up how Servers where labled before you choose one
• Equal Treatment would mean that you actually need to be treated equally. You choose to have a bad connection once you choose a NA Server and not a EU one - your connection is not getting worse when the move happens - NA players connections that are on EU Servers will - so they get a special treatment. You don't because nothing changes for you, except for your desire to play on a server with less ping - but that's not SE's problem

And now get over it - SE either will or won't allow Free Transfers ON the Chaos Data Center - my bet is they won't so they don't overload the, mostly already strained, servers (Especially Balmung - poor fellows can't even get in their workshops because the server has no free instances in the evening)

This being on Aether datacentre where the NA population of Chaos can now transfer to with no restrictions.

Equal treatment would mean NA players shouldn't get a free transfer. To use your logic "You chose to have a bad connection once you chose a NA server and not an EU one' didn't the NA players choose to have a bad connection when they chose an EU server?

See you can’t really make a good argument, you said you saw the pic of world transfer yet still saying same thing over and over. For your information by the time servers were changed into EU or NA it was too late the world transfer has ended before the start of open beta which was phase 4, you even acknowledged it yourself.

And yes NA picking EU servers and EU picking NA server should be treated equally they both did the same thing and If we are talking about me then yes when I picked the server it had EU next to it, but in your case you are only looking at it in a one sided perspective.

Balmung is NA server and with no free transfer from NA to EU server it will be overloaded even more with people from chaos moving in.

Why not instead of letting people picking from a list of all servers for Na to Eu make a transfer that just says To ( Blank Eu server) where its one option for every Eu server, or just a list of only Eu servers? it cant be that hard, can it?

I am in complete agreement with practically everyone here.

I'm on Gilgamesh. Gilgamesh is always full. We have players on Gilgamesh who perform very poorly due to EU lag. Parties get mad and quit. Player gets frustrated. Party gets frustrated. It's better that these players get to enjoy the game for what it's really worth, and transfer for free due to the hassle and frustration over a span of 2 years.

Plus, you could make more room on the NA servers after they transfer so that people from Chaos server can join us and replenish the losses.

I completely understand this is a business arrangement which requires funding, but wouldn't the net profits of new subscriptions make a long-term investment become a long-term profit?

I haven't seen Balmung unlock in a very long time(a friend plays on that world and wanted me to join her), I have my doubts we will see it unlock during the free transfer.

Is the Chaos data center a more recent development or has it been sectioned off as the EU data center since 2.0 launch? Simple, EU servers were not available to create a character when the game was release (full), so ppl had to go to other data center to be able to play
