I've never used the party finder, I also have no FC :/
Not that I don't get spammed by invites every few hours, there is no way in hell I would join something spammed to me.

Poeple really shouldn't be looking to get their first clears in a farm party. Those all sound like farm parties.
If I have something on farm and I'm looking to run it repeatedly, babysitting someone through their first clear can be counterproductive. Farming means you down it repeatedly with a minimum of fuss. As someone that enjoys helping people learn and clear content, I'll say that there's a time and a place for learning. I see learning parties all over party finder. If all else fails, make a learning party and people that are just like you will join. Many times, veteran players will join to help out too. You absolutely 100% do not join someone's farm party to learn, though. That's only doing two things: wrecking their party and shooting yourself in the foot. Farm parties that don't clear fast end up breaking up, and the person that was trying to farm isn't going to be very happy with you if that happens. If they were ever inclined to help you learn, they more than likely won't be if you're the cause of their party failing.Quote:
The whole if you die, you're out mentality is completely retarded ontop of that, these fights are a little over a week old and people are just starting to hit endgame that didn't rush to 60.
Even if it's not someone's first time in there and they're just being bad at the fight for whatever reason (lag, distractions, etc), that's still keeping the party from doing what they want to do - farm the fight. If I have a PF up for a specific goal and one person is preventing the other seven players from fulfilling that goal, then there's two choices: that person either steps it up or they get replaced. The only alternative is to disband.
Sounds like the leader was the one looking for a carry. It happens.Quote:
(Unlike me.. /cough ) But seriously? I've beat Bismark EX once, and it was at ilvl 160, and we had no serious issues, took a couple of tries, but we did fine, now people just seem to be wanting a group to easily carry them through these primal battles? I tried one of the Ravana EX groups earlier (One with the 3 strike rule) Leader died 8 times and was probably the worst geared of everyone there.
This is starting to get a thing now. People want a PF system with all sorts of groups. When there is no group for them to join, "toxicity" and "elitism" are words often used.
Just a reminder: part of an MMO is to friend people you like playing with. Another convenient thing to do is to create your own group in PF or maybe just invite people from Linkshells you're in with.
Seems like the comments you used as an example of toxicity, are from people actually showing initiative. They don't want to carry someone thus they make sure it's clear what group you would join. I don't see the harm in that...
Agree, and people that doesnt know the mechanic of the whole fight see a farm party and a learning party and select the farming one. Failing because you make a mistake isnt a problem, fail because you think nobody will notice your mistake its the real problem.
They have learning parties on famfrit at least, but the ilevel requirement is still mostly out of reach.
I don't bother with PF. Some of the comments are just sadly hilarious.
The 20 people that liked your post are doing the same thing you're doing, not taking into account for things even with making your own group. Making your own groups are also subject to toxicity as you could end up not finding anyone, or they will be impatient and leave. And even then you can have those put off a bit by your newness, and drop at the first sign of death(pun intended).
Be more considerate.
Don't be so dramatic, nobody leaves after a single wipe unless the party is doing obvious mistakes on a party advertised as farm.
Parties advertised as learning or progression will only have people leaving after 3+ wipes of obvious constant mistakes or 0 progression past the phase advertised on PF (ie advertise phase 4 but keep wiping on phase 2).
About not finding anyone, there's always that risk and that's why people make statics so they set up a time to challenge a raid rather than waste hours on PF waiting for certain classes.
There was a lot of this when 2.0 originally launched.... These people tend to move on when they get bored. It will get better over time.
Tis kinda toxic to say " this game is toxic" simply because none of the PF groups suit you. Get a static of people you like, or join a linkshell of people tackling extremes atm or join an fc. You will hate this game if you rely on pf.
