You cannot trust players with anything that can give them an unfair advantage over other players. By not removing the system until it is fixed or punishing players abusing it. You are basically allowing them to do it, as there are no repercussions.

Rule #1 of good software design is that you take accountability for what a userbase does with your tools regardless of whether you have a legal need to, basically.

There's also something to be said for the fact that S-E not stopping what is essentially an exploit (trading 'unsellable' flagged items for gil) that happens to be fueling a profit margin, regardless of their actual intent or stated intent, shows a lack of good faith effort which is reciprocated by a lack of trust from the playerbase.

Unsellable just means you can't sell it to NPCs. SE's useless pleas notwithstanding, "unsellable" doesn't have anything to do with the situation. :p

A+ on the rest of this though.

As has been stated in a prior post (link), we do not wish for these items to be exchanged in-game for gil and, as such, we will be closing this thread.
