Do I have to control Eos?

Every dungeon is a joke and can be healed by a sch even without a fairy (e.g. I can skip summoning my fairy, still keep a semi-bad party alive, while doing damage on the side)

To be honest in most dungeons eos can handle healing the entire thing, while you cleric stance and dd the whole time.

Haha, how amusing. Who uses Eos in dungeons? You should be using Selene while manually timing glow or light for each particular pull or boss encounter WHILE dpsing. You only reinforce the lazy bad narrative that condones mediocrity.

I would boot you so fast out of my 4:15 min Bray run parties the moment that you summoned Eos or you used Selene on auto.

If you're doing -full- bray runs in 4:15 you are clearly hacking.....

If you're talking about speed runs then sure. you're right. I was referring to general duty finder parties where ppl don't do mass pulls.
I'm sure you could make a normal dungeon 2 minutes shorter by going all out. Or you can just let eos cure, spam one attack like most other ppl do, and work/watch tv on the side.

For the most part, no. There really is no reason. I can solo heal ex primals and go to coil and do just fine not micromanaging eos beyond placing her in certain spots. Its probably better to control everything she does, but you dont HAVE to.

Although I did say 'for the most part.' Sometimes you really want her buffs at a certain moment, but in my experience scholars who try to be 'good' by micromanaging just spend too much time fiddling with pet controls instead of casting cures themselves and let people die. Not all of them, but a lot of them.

I only replied snarky because it feels like many are implying I am a bad player all because I asked a simple question. As said I have played every mmo there is to play and have done many a pet management..but I was not 100% sure on here because as said I had not dabbled or looked up scholar. I say I will get things done because I will, I am not incompetent, I will put some of her skills on my crossbar and use them to full effect, I simply said I will make my own playstyle as well especially since many are saying they get away with doing what they please. When it comes down to it as long as everyone lives there should not be a problem.

I will use Eos in speed runs and dungeons until I assess whether I'm playing with a paper tank or an incompetent dps. :) It's great to hear how perfect you are though, you sound a bundle of laughs to group with :) GRATS!

Prehealing and well-timed mitigation I assume. Not everyone really uses WD at the best times in any case.

and when you start doing stuff like coil and EX primals up, it
would be in your best interest to learn how.

On obey she'll continue to cure, just wont use her other buffs.
macro her embrace onto your adloq and physic. That is a great strategy
to have less downtime on eos casting heals :) You can also
do a big rouse macro that uses the other three buffs for eos.

I don't think it's possible, but maybe I'm too used to casting WD like it was one of my cooldowns to think about how I'd do it without. You really don't have any other group heals that are worth a damn and the group is taking a lot of unavoidable damage.

Obey for both in most 8man content (if you're healing HM Ifrit or something similar... do whatever you feel like). In lazy dungeon runs, you can leave them on sic, but it works best with Selene because she can't heal aggro everything. Speed runs, use Obey.

Keep all fairy abilities bound someplace. Treat them as your own spells. Force Embrace on whoever you aren't already casting physick/adlo on if multiple people are hurt and your target doesn't need both your heal and the fairy's (make it into a mouse over if you want). Use CD's accordingly. Hurray! You're now a worthy SCH.

Honestly, it does not amount to that much more ability juggling.
