Exactly. These are the same people with quotes like "best gear in Coil needs to end".
But let's not get further into this matter, people might throw the word "elitist" to your head.

What I gathered is that OP wants to know why people don't try "harder" No one said "I want them to play perfect. Know the mathematical formula to maximize their DPS" As it was said before, there is a difference between playing "elite" and knowing how to play your job. If we see someone not playing their job how it was meant to be, then you can politely tell them some friendly advice. Should they ignore it then there is nothing we can do. They chose to ignore it for whatever reason. People here are reading this as "Don't tell me how to play" I can understand that. Not many people enjoy being told what to do. But you yourself need to know your errors too. If you're a monk who is only attacking from the back, you don't think that's wrong? People will see that and will tell you what you're doing wrong. They ain't dictating you, they're offering you advice on how to make a better performance. Now tell me how is that wrong. Tell me how giving people advice is wrong.
There's not much contradiction about the matter actually. As I said, it's context. No ones time spent on playing this game is more important than another individuals, I think we can agree on that much. The value of your time is not greater than my own and vice versa. One could argue that they're playing this game with their kids, spending time with them in a way that everyone enjoys, so theirs is more important than another. Okay, but what about the one player who just came off a 14hr+ shift and has the day off for the first time in months? I'd say that's well-deserved free time. Essentially, "valuable" is a neutral word in that situation, because it's just a given that everyone is the same. So when you want to apply its true meaning to this context (that being playing an MMORPG), one persons time is indeed not more valuable compared to another.
That being said, we're talking about complaints towards those who aren't playing "properly". My posts were in relation to small variables of time. A few more minutes to do something is not the end of the world for ANYONE who has the time to play this game, or any game for that matter. If they aren't harming anyone or causing noteworthy problems, it's not a big deal.
So if in let's say a 4 man dungeon all 4 players play like the OP described, you stand by your point that you're "having a blast"? Do you think you'd clear it? You would not, so other people are actually working harder to carry these baddies who are just having a major blast.
How on earth are these people "funding our current habits". You always seem to just throw out your opinions as they were facts on these forums. You're a funny guy.
Monk attacks from behind > Monster dies > Game is won
Monk does rotation > Monster dies slightly faster > Game is won.
Same result at the end. Unless the Monk attacking from behind is preventing objective to meet, there is no problem here.
This argument is so laughable, I can't believe people are taking it seriously.
Guess you've never been in a drinking party who do content on their underwear. Those yes, they are having a blast and for the most part, drunk.
If you're definition of "fun" equates to players meeting your standards then go form your own secluded parties with it. Otherwise you are doing it wrong and have absolutely no reason to be mad.
They pay the same subscription you pay. You are in no way or form any more special than they are just because you can do a rotation while they aren't.
Ironically you're doing the same thing, "funny guy".
Seems the only reason you're mad at me is because you can't vent your frustration properly. Which is a hilarious notion that you are even bothering. I don't care about your personal rage and anger.
You know, I'm certain that I have seen some of the people defending bad players here, be the one that are against people paying for carries.
When someone sucks and aren't doing their job, they are being carried. Is it OK just because they aren't paying Gil?
Could be wrong and mistake people for those that posten in one of the various paying for clears threads.
