How often do people actually clear Titan Extreme?

I can second this. I got my first Titan and Ifrit EX wins through DF. At the time it seemed to be all people that were comfortable enough to join a DF and win.

In saying that....was doing a recent Ultima HM for fun with a well geared DF group. When we couldn't make it past the second set of Bits with full Echo 25% I had to leave.

Ultima HM is the real skill check for a lot of people.

Titan EX is incredibly frustrating. It doesn't matter how perfectly I play (and I've got probably a 99% dodge rate on Titan mechanics... minus the occasional WoTL, but those don't kill me because we use the line strat); there's just no making up for a tank, or half the group, failing at landslide.

I respectfully disagree. Losing 1 DPS is not the end of the whorl. Depending on the other DPS's damage, it might still be savable. It's true that Titan EX probably has a lower DPS check but to say that to lose 1 DPS in Levi EX is a wipe is a stretch. There are actually already groups selling Levi EX so yes, there is 7/8 Levi EX.
Hysteria can be avoided after resisted stun if the WHM or SMN use their knock-back skills (Fluid Aura/Shockwave).

Again, to people like this, make your own PF, and start kicking after 3-4 legitimate screw ups. It really doesn't matter if it is lag or just a simple mistake. You'll keep the good people around knowing there will be a replacement for bad people, and eventually fill in the ranks with people who can clear it. If you are really not the problem, get people who aren't as well. Get your kill and move on with life.

Agreed. Our FC had it real tight learning it with a DPS down at first, but we do it with one down in relative ease now. For most still learning or getting more experience in a fight, 1 DPS is a guaranteed wipe though, even with a few wins under their belt. I'd say any PF group is a guaranteed wipe with a DPS down just judging on the characters often in there. It really isn't fair to compare Titan EX to Levi EX however, especially with Echo buff. There is definitely a higher DPS requirement to achieve in Levi EX.

Just because you have a group of extremely skilled and overgeared players doesn't make Titan "easy".
I've gotten smacked through the middle by leviathan's dive (since the middle ones still throw me off sometimes) and I've survived the rest of the fight after getting raised.
Our tank got smacked to his doom, slide off and ended right on the edge of the platform. Got raised, no problem.

So no you're hilariously wrong.

And beating a superbomb with 2 DPS from start to finish? lol pics or it didn't happen or you must all be sporting level 100 atmus weapons and all 100+ gear.

For the average person clearing titan ex in an average DF/PF group they will be between ilvl 80-90 and I can certainly tell you 2 dps is not enough to get past superbombs.

P.S. If titan ex was SOOOO easy, this thread wouldn't be 8 pages long of people crying that they can't clear it.

Perhaps it's easier for me because I identify with patterns, but I used to clear all 3 Ex through DF every week before 2.2. I stopped doing it cause I figured it would be easier to get Leviathan weapons instead, but I keep losing rolls.

I don't know how to give advise for people who don't normally see patterns in things, but when you've done it enough, you start instinctively knowing when to move and where to move to.

Cleared Titan EX on PS3 with DF, per 2.2...so i'm with random group each time. Once i clear edit, did it 3 times more to get other weapons I want, then stopped.
OP, it's not impossible, just really hard. And I play tank, so I had to dodge, tank swap, and pull the egis, fyi.
Took me few weeks to nail it with random people, just keep practicing, btw, with echo buff now, it's much easier.....
