Depends where you go, generally fish and chips is pretty good aslong as they don't try to give you the stuff on the counter thats been there for like 4 hours lol :p

Can't remember where it was, last time I was in London was some 20 years ago :)

I do remember the ones I saw other people walking out with had grease practically dripping through the bottom of the paper and all that. Real old fashioned fish & chips some would argue I guess..

Well it was London so that doesn't surprise me based off the way this fine country is at the moment lol. As for the grease, I wouldn't eat that either... Probably best you left from the sound of it :)

Seriously, though, there are some great English/British meat-and-pastry and meat-and-potatoes foods (and vegetarian versions). And puddings.
