1. Your logic has nothing to do with popular request you stated that based on player data Male viera wouldn't be popular enough to be played due to the fact that Male Elezen are only played marginally more than Male Roe's, which doesn't work. Claiming popular demand doesn't work either because based off of this exact poll that was hosted BY SE and voted on BY the players.

So any popular demand you are inferring is completely hyperbole and based off of he said she said, based on official numbers given a beastial race was not even as highly requested as mixed races, and before you say "NA doesn't count" it was the least popular on the JP forums as well.. You can say "This is old" but it's the clearest most up to date data that we have that would prove your point of popular demand and it doesn't.
2.
"I should trust you over what I've seen and what the devs said?"
You should trust what Yoshida has said in interviews, he's blatantly said that they wanted to meet the demand of a beastial race but Viera was too highly requested. It has nothing to do with pleasing more people it was purely out of a desire ot diversify races, he even states male viera wasn't added in because of it's similarity in body type to male Elezen.
3.
"I really don't think so."
Ah yes, just how people really didn't think they'd remove cast times on ranged phys dps, or how they really didn't think they would add the male bunny outfit, or how they REALLY didn't think they'd re-work shake it off. Based on the dev teams history with adding in features based purely on demand alone there's more evidence to show they'll be added in 6.0 rather than not, everything else you're saying is your own crackpot musings. You can put your fingers in your ears and cry minority, but both of these threads are some of the most liked threads on the forum.
I haven't heard that said anywhere else. I understand he said that male Viera would be like Elezen if added, but I don't think they've ever said that as a reason to reject them. The official line was that they were making Hrothgar, then substituted Viera for the females, with no opportunity for Viera males to be proposed-then-rejected.
"If we did create a male design for the Viera, he would be quite elegant, handsome, and slim. He would look more like the Elezen race, but with bunny ears.
What we were missing from the lineup of playable races was someone who looked more powerful and laser-focused on battle, while looking quite fierce. Implementing that kind of race, the dev team could bring more kinds of enrichment to this type of fantasy game. To fulfill player feedback as well as the dev team, we put the two races together."

That line pretty much says it wasn't implemented because the dev team felt hrothgar brought more to the table than male viera in terms of diversity, they even stated what they were looking to add. A laser focused fierce powerful race, I don't think it's the primary reason why it wasn't added but it's obvious the devs had a bias towards a beastial race and wanted it to be implemented, viera was added to fill in feedback while also satiating their desire to add in a beastial race. You can infer other things but that's what the quote looks like at face value.
I would actually make one if I could have female, I support people getting male veira but it personally doesn't interest me. Buff lion lady does. If my wanting one makes anyone upset they can die mad about it.
i like roes but generally dont play as them but to make up for it i fill my Squadron up with roes
hoping for some hrothgar squadron glady accept female hrothgar too if it was possible
No, it doesn't "prettymuch" say that the Viera were rejected for being too similar to Elezen - certainly not to the extent that you can summarise is as him stating that. You can assume it's what he meant, but it's not what he actually said, and shouldn't be relayed as if he did say it.
For Viera to be rejected, they first had to be considering which one to put in - but, by the official line at least, they were never even in the running.
Eh..I think the dev team missed the mark, cause the first critiques of Hrothgar were quite literally "Its just furry Roe men."
From the player perspective, the comment about Viera males being just elezen with bunny ears is no different from the fact that Hrothgar come across as Roes with furry heads. Granted, its more distinct, but the same line of thinking is at play. I think the devs, broadly, really missed the mark on what they think people would want. If anything, if they really wanted Hrothgar, they shouldve just gone all in on them. They wouldve been received way better if there was no viera female, but since they did to viera, it drastically changed peoples expectations. It really was misreading the player base at that point.
