Viera as the next new race~ Show your support

I want cute dog girls as the next race~

I'd be in favor of adding this race some time in the future, though only the short variant. The tall variant would just make them look like another generic humanimal race, like the Miqo'te and the Au Ra.

I'd imagine them to be like between Hyurs and Lalafells in size. Dwarf sized, so to speak. With perhaps a bit more animalistic features than just having animal ears. I think they would fit in quite well in that case.

This is my hope as well. I feel like Return to Ivalice is a way for them to appear in 5.0. I could see how at the very end of the raid viera appear to save Ivalice or appear after we save Ivalice. It's really the perfect story bit that Stormblood is adding for them to appear. There's never been a better time for it and I think this raid will be like the mhachi raids which allowed us to understand who the mhachi were.

Those opposed to it need to understand that this is what we think. We're not saying we know it'll happen since none of us works at square enix. In every sentence I'm giving my opinion backed up with what's there.

It wouldn't be a rift that brings viera to hydaelyn, it would be the book of Ivalice opening the gate into hydaelyn. Rift and book are very different things. A rift is more like you're tearing the worlds apart and creating a lot of energy for that to happen. With a book all you're doing is opening the gates between the 2 worlds. No calamity happen by just opening a gate.

As for transforming "back" that only happens to people that went into the book. The people leaving the book wouldn't have anything to transform into.

Because FFXII is not about Viera. Why are you making assumptions that the Ivalice raid would be confirming new races, especially if Yoshi-P suggested people play FFXII? This is Void Ark all over again ("sky pirates involved, therefore Balthier and Fran MUST BE involved. Fran is Viera, which means Viera confirmed for new race!" I might be exaggerating that a little, but I definitely recall some people assuming Balthier and Fran would be in the Shadows of Mhach storyline just because sky pirates were the main characters).

That still doesn't change the fact that people would be fearing they're getting invaded by an alien force, or think someone cast a void spell that has opened a rift. Thousands of people appearing suddenly is not normal.

Except no Ivalice race ever left the grimoire in those games.

The first option please... I may have to give up being a moogle if this happens.

I'd like to see veira be added and though I am a fan of the tall slender version I think the shorter version would be better as we already have quite a few tall races. For clan difference I'd like to see ones with long ears and ones with short ears and maybe a little horn on their head so they're kinda like Al-mi'rajs. I would also be for the tall ones being one clan and the short one being the other but that might be more work than they are willing to take/do.

Also I think a new race would make more sense if/when we go to the new world.

SE you want money add viera almost the whole servers will change into them cant imagine how much money they get after all these fantasia

and btw i dont get the thing that viera has no conterpart (male ) this is a cheap excuse

I think it would be interesting to see viera added to the game in this way. It's a nice idea.

Lol, because the dev team have confirmed that adding races is even a thing anymore. Not everything is about new races, and there has been literally no connection made between the raid and a new race by anyone reputable, we call what you are doing a non-sequitur

Return to Ivalice and there's no connection? It's like looking at the stars and saying they're not part of our universe.
Viera exist in Ivalice, Ivalice is where we're going. There's a lot of connections.

Whether that means they'll be added or not no one knows. We are free to give our opinion on how we'd like to see Return to Ivalice introduce them though. That doesn't make it official, that makes it an opinion/theory.
