Bad lag again with NTT's NA server network

I was just able to DPS in a dungeon for the first time in a week and a half...

I definitely still had some dropped dualcasts (RDM) and definitely died more times than normal on a dungeon I know well... but it's progress.

I was still seeing disconnects without VPN, but for the first time this week I seem to be staying connected at prime time (ETA: for a bit longer) with a VPN so that is progress for me too. Sharing the cautious optimism

3 hours later and command prompt is still showing me normal numbers, so that looks kinda promising. Although I'll just keep routing FFXIV through my AWS proxy for now just to be safe.

Seems good and stable for me now. In fact, my average ping is 5ms lower than before this started.

was able to do a dungeon without a vpn at the hour of this post...had a few hiccups but that could also be on my end. noticeably different than it was a prior to today. maybe i'll try to do EX6 without vpn in a bit to see, but i'm scared of griefing players lol

Oh my. Came home footsore from Momocon and this is what I see when I used PingPlotter on my lobby server:

Since I've going to the con I haven't hardly logged on AT ALL in the last couple days (Worth. It.) Hopefully this means me and 'Neko can finally play again. I haven't tried to login tonight..I'm tired and I'm going to bed in a minute (conventions do that to you) but that looks promising. We'll see after my last con day Saturday if this holds. ^^

I'm with spectrum, and I'm experiencing some radical lag tonight.

The IP you're pinging has been turned off. I believe that was one of the old IP's. Try this one 204.2.29.90

Krojack, what program do you use? It's really nice looking. I will also add my continued astonishment that the network is not bad currently. It will be good to see if it holds up like this tomorrow. Still averaging 60ms.

There's a difference between despair and being realistic. Thanks for the insinuation that I'm a coward, though.

Forgive me if I don't think going on about FIGHTING SPIRIT and the POWER OF FRIENDSHIP is going to solve this issue like we're in an anime or JRPG.

I have said countless times that I hope I'm wrong and that things get resolved. So there's no need for thinly-veiled personal attacks.

We're on the same side here, we both want this fixed. We just have different viewpoints on aspects of the situation.
