Well, someone got it.

This is the first part of the letter:
"I’m sorry to have kept you waiting so long, but patch 1.18 will finally be going live this week! This version marks the beginning of big changes being readily visible on-screen, such as the auto-attack feature, as well as a number of others, both big and small. It took a while to get it all ready, but we hope you all enjoy this first wind of change sweeping across Eorzea!"
Look at the bold areas "this first wind of change" meaning this first major patch.
And to further prove it this is near the end:
"In my next post, I hope to talk about 1.19 and have some more details for you on the changes in store."
Meaning he did not talk about 1.19 this time.
If you think the developers care at all about what some player posts on this forum you are sadly mistaken. This was a thread to be discussed among other players who noticed the same things I pointed out. That's it.Quote:
The mere fact of making sure that a person acknowledges if they lied or changed their mind (in the scenario I posted), means that you want them to dwell on it, which in turn causes guild.
You are right that was a bad analogy because it was a very insignificant issue of no consequence. Yoshi's lie mean 2 to 3 times as much time investment to achieve the same results pre-patch. If 3 times as long is a "fickle minor" thing to you that's your personal opinion and I respect it. I think it a major difference.
Do you realize you've been complaining for like 50 hours? Do you have a family? Are they worried? You need a therapist if SP in a game bugs you this bad man. Next step is an imaginary friend that tells you to start fires.
But that's opposed to not being able to spend ANY hours on grinding at ALL, so I don't see the big deal.
You pointed out that's it's the FIRST wind of changes. And I don't see why you seem to think bringing up developers reading this or not, I haven't said anything for them to read to begin with, I'm doing exactly what you keep talking about.
I also like how you left out the following:
"We’re also going to be balancing in-game means of transportation. Our main focus will be on the already existing anima-based teleportation system, but new forms of high-speed travel are on the way as well."
That obviously didn't happen this patch.
"The Future of Ranking Up" (This is where it gets good)
"but I plan to make the process both possible and enjoyable for players willing to invest the time, even if they’re solo, and even by doing quests and guildleves."
Key words to note in this quote "I plan to make the process"
DOWN WITH SE! INVADE JAPAN!!
Hmm I did 3 levels in Hlalti with my brother and upon completion got a nice 3-4k SP for completing the lev amongs the SP garnered in battle so 5-6k SP per lev seems pretty good to me. Only downside is if it's not your lev you get a fraction of that 600ish~
Still not bad incentive to help people with their leves, and thankfully makes purposefully failing levs suck.
