Well many days of level grinding later I got to 25 and have just started the petition to form the Free Company. So it is an official open invitation to come join me on Coeurl and start this Free company properly. And if enough of us level up and donate gil we can get a nice house on the beach for our get-togethers and have a spot for photo shooting!

Who knows, there may be an Eorzea's Next Top Model Coeurl edition with all the members of the free company in the future!

Being that the servers are going down in a few hours I will stay in Limsa Lominsa in the Aetherite plaza for at least the next hour if anyone wants to join up.

Here's an alternative to the biohazard one. i wanted it to have a feeling of a scientist or researcher in a new, strange place, collecting samples - hence why i chose the one i submitted, i felt the armour fitted better. This one however, was Rongi's fave out of 3. Maybe i shoud have listened? lol :P

Round 7 (Free Style Battle Shot)
Raquelle - I can only imagine how excited you must have been when you saw this in your screenshot folder. This time, I do love absolutely everything about your shot. The action shot is superb, and you can even see the surprise and horror on the Mamool Ja's face as he realizes he's been fatally stabbed. The weather and the water reflection add tremendous mood to the shot, and that lightning bolt is icing on a very, very delicious cake.

Girl Power: There wasn't enough sun minions around xD
Free Style Battle Shot: I waited hours for the weather, and killed many Mamool Ja in the process. The skill I used was Savage Blade (mid swing), with the gear I was wearing they died pretty fast ;A; it was 1 Mamool Ja per try. Had to fraps the entire thing and pick out the frame I wanted.

For the battle shot i tried so many different things that it ended up being a tough decision for me, here are a few of my other favorites:

This one i almost submitted because i personally loooove the blur flare was creating, but when I asked the opinions of some of my friends they didn't like it at all, said it was too blurry, so I ended up choosing the one i entered. :P

I actually really like that last one a lot Sam, the only thing I find issues with is the clipping on the robe. I know the animation is that the robe is flipped up, but it just looks a bit off :< I actually really dig the blur effect!!

Oh my, we've dropped to page 9! This is disheartening since I frequently read through this thread and keep a close eye on it. Hope all of you have a good day today! I can't wait till the next cycle starts! :)

The youtube shows are put together and just waiting on two things. 1) Xyhr's voice actress to send in her lines. and 2) The judges critiques! We are getting together this sunday to record them! And if we DON'T record them this sunday, then you guys are just gonna have to do without because I cant wait any longer. xD

I changed the voting system after seeing Cycle 3, and I hope everyone is happy with it. 7 judges each make their own Call out order, and the models receive points for where they fall in the line up. For example
First - Model B 1 point
Model C 2
Model A 3
Model E 4
Fifth - Model D 5 points
Then, I add up all the scores. So lets pretend Model E was in fourth for all 7 judges, and Model D was 5th. Model E would have a score of 28, and Model D would have a score of 35. Being the two highest scores, those Models are up for elimination! But just because Model D has the most, does not mean she goes home. The 7 judges then get to think about previous rounds, and you know what? Model D has been in the top 3 every round since round 1! Model E on the other hand has struggled to make Top 5. So in the end, the 7 judges are able to send home Model E, giving Model D another chance.

At the end of the 5th round, the Fan Favorite will be brought back into the competition. And in the Final Round, we will have one more round of voting where you guys decide the winner from the final 2.

I think this voting system will be well liked by all of you since the models still get to show off their work and receive credit for it! ^^

Annnnnnd, how does everyone feel about a premier party for the Youtube Edition on the Courriel Server? I'm thinking Feb 22 or March 1!!! And we will have another Raffle Drawing for 1 month of FFXIV ((Last party's winner was Iris! :D))

Auditions for YT Cycle 2 will begin that night as well! Any past competitors who want to enter on a second character may do so, don't forget! Our community has shrunk a bit, i think, but as long as we keep fantasing and making alts we can go on forever and ever and ever. I leave for Japan in either May, June, or July, still not sure exact date, so we will play -that- part by year! But after producing one season of YT Cycle, I know how to make the next one easier on myself. -_-; lol So time isnt an issue!

Sorry, I'm a little confused about this method. How would public voting be used? Will there be a public voting? I think it's a good idea to push out any bias in voting and also prevents models from influencing the scores. However, I do wish to point out that the "fan favourite" can be manipulated by the public.

I personally think that it should be the final three instead. Main point is from what you see in the finals of Cycle 3, the voting was terribly skewed with four participants with one being left behind by miles. The final two would be a little bit too little, in my opinion. Public votes are very likely to be manipulated if there was a choice of only between two participants.

From what I can understand;

• Judges score each model by placing them in a list from what they think the best is to what they think is the one not up to standards.
• Scores are distributed based on position in the lists and are all calculated.
• The scores given are the lowest at the top and higher at the bottom.
• Scores are tallied together between judges.
• Highest two scoring participants are nominated for elimination.
• Judges discuss on which of the two will be eliminated.

Did you get to participate in the fan voting? It was going on all last week. :o

if not, the fans were able to vote for 4 out of the 8 models each round. They got to see all the pictures from each round.

Say Model B takes weak pictures, and is eliminated in Round 2 by the Judges. She has 100 friends and they all come and vote for her, and she gets back into the competition for Round 6. But her picture is still weak compared to the other 3 models. She gets eliminated by the judges again.

As you can see above, the Fan Favorite vote did nothing for Model B. She had a lot of "fans" but she had weak pictures.

As for a final 3, Tyriont, and future hosts of ENTM are more than welcome to do it that way! I, personally, am going with a Final 2 for the Youtube series.

And your description of the way it works was perfect! Hope that clears things up for Marik. ^^

As for the Premier Party on the 1st, we will be meeting on Coeurl, but not sure what time yet. How does 6pm Central sound? Too early? Still 4pm on the West Coast, so maybe 7 or 8pm Central is better? Its hard to not be too early for the West and too late for the East. Hehe. Whatever time the party starts, I will release the episode an hour after. That way we can all hang out for an hour, do the raffle number drawing, watch the episode, and then choose a raffle winner.

The traffic in our thread has really died down, but I hope all 8 Youtube Models can make it, as well as the Judges and then you guys. Tyriont will be hosting Cycle 4 again, but not until a few months after the expansion drops. I will be hosting a second YT cycle after I see the response to the first one. As always, there will be an ENTM Audition Thread!

Release date hasn't been set- we only know "Spring" release. After our Feb 24th patch (gold saucer/choco raceing etc) we have 1 more final mini patch before the expansion can hit. I'd expect late May-Early June. Once you start getting into June + it really starts to become a "summer" release.
Though either way- if ENTM cycle 4 comes 'a few months after the expansion drops' the cycle start date will probably be around July-Sept ;/

That is a place holder date, as well as any other retailer date you might look up. SE has not set an official/accurate date the expansion is released, they have SAID that it will be released in spring 2015 which can be between late March to early June most likely or anywhere in between. This comes from the Heavensward mini-trailer which can be found in many places.

It was supposed to be, but I think I remember Ty coming back in here stating that he wanted to hold on a lil' while before cycle 4 to let Rongi have more attention with the Youtube edition and what not.

Update on how things are planned currently, since I've been silent to allow the YT cycle to take center stage a while.

The original plan was indeed to piggyback Cycle 4 directly off Cycle 3. That is no longer the plan, for several reasons. The most significant one is burnout. Several of us have observed a significant amount of it around the end of Cycle 3 and I decided it might be best to give things a breather for a bit.

Now, my THEORETICAL idea is to look to after Heavensward comes out. We'll have the Au Ra, new jobs, new areas...in other words, the ideal time for a modeling contest! That said, as has been the topic of some discussion here, we don't actually know WHEN the release date is. We already know preorders are up and it's my expectation that we'll hear a more solid release date at PAX East.

At that point, I'll look at things, discuss with Rongi and we'll make a call then as to what to do. If it does turn out that doing things after Heavensward would result in a huge gap then I'll do Cycle 4 before it - likely at the end of March. If not, then I'll make an announcement then regarding how things will work out.

So basically, an announcement regarding Cycle 4 will follow shortly after PAX East - which is currently 3 weeks away. This falls in line nicely with my orignal plan of giving the YT Cycle the focus anyway, as that'll be premiering on March 1st.

The time until Heavensward's release will go by even quicker once Eorzea's Next Top Model: Youtube Edition releases, as it will take 8 weeks to complete the Cycle! Pair that with 6 more weeks of Walking Dead, and the premier of RuPaul's Drag Race Season 7, and Heavensward will be here before you know it!

The other Judges and I recorded our critiques last weekend and I finally got all of them cut down into bite-size critiques for the videos. Now I just need to go and put them all in the vids. It got easier as the episodes went on due to less models xD but jeez is it exhausting! I will post the entire critiques in a separate video along with the Episode for all you die hard fans! Most of the models have also agreed to record an Exit Interview after finding out they've been eliminated!! ^^ They'll be answering questions like how they felt about their picture, elimination, bottom 2 partner, and who they think will win! Super excited to see how those go!

I really hope everyone likes the flow of the videos, because in 25 days my Adobe Premier expires!!! YIKES! If the first episode's flow is god awful and I need to change some things, I will be really crunched for time! Haha.

I also plan on releasing a Rongi's Favorite 14 Photos video, and a Rongi's Most Shocking Eliminations video before the March 1st premier just for fun! ^^
