SP nerfed. We were lied to.

Man....people are annoying.
Battle system is to be continuously tweaked as stated by Y-P.

Just calm down and wait for the next update. If you would have paid attention reading the letter, you'd know the changes in 1.18 were necessary for the future of the game. A nerf is something more permanent or at least long term, the reduction in possible SP/hr will be fixed when they put in a better, less boring system than they have in the past.

Well I don't want to get too embroiled in this, but I just want to say that, so far, I'm happy with the way sp works now. At rank 39 and 40, doing rank 40 leves I would get anywhere from 5-6k per leve (8k on Do Toads Dream) which, compared to my experiences before the patch, is a nice improvement. I also tend to finish leves about 10x faster since I'm not having to run around to kill every single monster.

Just wanted to say that at least one person isn't upset. D:

Oh and as an aside, the sp rewards for story missions are wonderful. I did Lord Errant the other day for about 36k sp which was just under half of my level.

Seriously, if you don't like how they decide what is most efficient for them to repair a game others have broken, then just take a break until the game is good enough for you. That's what I and many others have done.

I also like how people were saying 1.18 was rushed or took way to long to come out. So they were getting angry and yelling at the dev team that they were not doing thier job. Now 1.18 came out and its just more bitching! the human condition is so wonderful! I Must Have IT KNOW!!!!!! WHAT?!?! I wanted this not that!!!!! I will bitch because I didnt do my research first....

It's like the Duke Nukem Forever fail people kept complaining it was taking forever to come out it was finally canceled (which it should of probably stayed as lol) but people bitched more about it... so new dev team buys it up finishes the project quickly to appease the masses, and what happens NERD RAGE!!!! This is just an example of what I see here.

Let them take the required time to fix it, it won't ever take one miracle patch... It will take time that's why we are still FTP right now and the PS3 version doesn't have a release date yet because the fixes are not done... So he is not lying... he is taking the small steps that are required to rebuild a broken game. He is probably collecting the numbers post patch and then going to give another sp bonus in 1.19 where some sp numbers are lacking, yes that sounds bad but guess what people bitched for a patch over and over and over again so they finally gave it to us... I don't even know how to convince these people that are just "foaming at the mouth rabid" over a self conjecture on someones words while it is obvious many other did not precieve Y-P word's that way...

Your doing something wrong.. It should not take you more than 10 mins to complete a leve. If your trying to solo on more than solo level your wasting your time. The new system is set up so that you get very little gain from increasing the level of the enemy thus allowing you to solo on solo and still get roughly the same SP.

Rank 40 leves the bonus for Solo is roughly 3800 at rank 47. The bonus for 3 stars is 4200. Not doing leves on solo is a waste of time.

If your soloing why would you be able to do a party tier levequest?

I didn't say he said it was gonna be faster. He said it wouldn't be nerfed. Meaning rank up progression would remain the same post-patch and that is not the case. It is far slower which means he lied.



I'm not saying every point is irrelevant. Saying that there are many new ways of getting SP is irrelevant to the fact that we were lied to. My point is not that I can't get SP my point is ranking up was nerfed after Yoshi said it wouldn't.

Except that's wrong because he mentioned what he had in store for patch 1.19, and furthermore it has been brought up that patch 1.18 is infact ground work. Let's not forget it's not officially a lie until he has put out all the changes he intended to and it's still "slow" in the prospect of what you define as "nerfed". Since, he did say that's what he had in store for the future, not only what he had in store for patch 1.18.

I mean shit, what do you do if your girlfriend tells you she's going to the mall and she decides to go to a movie instead? Do you make her feel like shit all night because you were lied too?

I've had leves give between 2700-5200 (not counting kill sp) at rank 41-42. I was able to get through over 3/4 of my rank 41-42 with leves, a few behest and some grinding at a beast camp all solo. I really haven't seen anything wrong with the SP gain but I need to try it on lower levels.
