It always sucks when that happens. Had someone do that to a healer who was new to A4 once...told him to "just heal" without anything beyond that. Naturally we wiped again and again and...vote abandoned. :/Quote:

I've joined dungeons for 1st time and asked if there's anything I should know as a tank and been told it's a tank and spank, then find there's much more to it. Tell me to drag the boss away then... I ain't watching your butt the entire time. I'm lookin at my hp as the boss continues to punch my face in seeing if I need to pop a defensive CD. Or my favorite, wanderer's palace final boss. 1st time there, told to point the boss away from the party (common sense really). So I do. Then I find out he shoots an AoE from his butt... REALLY?! Luckily, my party members were nice there and just moved to his side without complaining.
But I always find the opposite situations to be kind of funny. When I went into Odin, I remember both the healer's were new and asked if there was anything they should know. The 1st response was, "run like hell". -

Had an awesome clear last night when I decided to queue for duty roulette at around half an hour before maintenance. Really wanted to get my AST to 59.
First thing in, we load into Aery and the tank drops. So we wait a bit, getting nervous. Will we get a join in progress in time to clear before maintenance? I call out to one of my LSs, no response. Now we're under 30 minutes. I call again and one of my awesome hunting buddies joins us on his 60 DRK. He comments it's a tight time frame before maintenance and I agree, saying I hope we can do it!
From then on we had an absolutely flawless run. Pulls went smooth, healing went fine, was able to dps a bit, card RNG was good, no one died or stood in AoE's. It was a God Mode run, and we were all doing our best performance.
We cleared the dungeon with 2 minutes to spare before maintenance and I was able to give my friend a comm at the end. \o/ -

Today I was doing Aurum Vale on my BRD because I had a quest for my GC that I've been putting off. Got a PLD tank and I think a SCH healer. Things are going ok, PLD was in magitek gear and sort of pulling a bit much for the healer but we weren't wiping and lots of aoe so all good.
We get to the room with all the scorpions and stuff right before the cyclops boss. PLD pulls whole room, dies when mobs are at about 1/4 health, so I kite them around like a pro and pew pew while he runs back. Healer keeps me up and everythings good.
The problem came at the lots of morbols and seeds room. Tank pulled entire room, big morbols, little morbols. Perhaps an oversight on his part but the seeds all hatched and attacked the healer and she died, he died, we all died.
We all ran back, and the healer says "worst tank I've ever seen" and rage quits. Me and the other dps are just sittin here like whyyyy right before the last boss! The tank really wasn't bad!
In the end we got another healer, killed last room and last boss just fine, big pulls and all. -

So last night I was in the dungeon finder and we had some drama unfold.
I got temple of qarn and I noticed that the mobs were dying really slowly. I noticed the healer, a white mage, just standing there inbetween heals and I suggested to him that he should dps when the tank doesn't need healing.
He then told me "I would if the tank knew how to use his cooldowns". Then the tank said he is using his cooldown and he only had one at his level. The healer started calling the tank bad and then drama ensued. The tank was getting very irritated and and one pull he died and asked the healer what the hell he was doing. The healer said he was bad again and then the tank just started cursing a storm at him. They wouldn't stop arguing. The healer vote kicked the tank and then the other DPS called us both jerks and left. Then the healer left.
10 minutes later while all alone the duty finder refills with new members. The new dps asked what happened. We had no problems the rest of the run! -

I'm all for healer dps but when things are dying slowly it's more likely because the actual dps are either doing something wrong, is new, or is just being lazy.Quote:
