The way I read it was "each class only unlocks one job" not "each class can only use one job" or "each job can only be used by one class."
The text from the blueprint reads: "Quests to unlock each job will become available once you have reached a certain rank in the corresponding class." I'm unaware of any more recent information.
This means that each job is unlocked by only one class. It does not mean that there is only one job per class.
The word "corresponding" only refers to unlocking the job. It is unclear whether this also means jobs are only equippable by a particular class, some classes, or all classes. Hence the rampant speculation.
Did you even read my post or skim through it?? Why don't you stop looking like an *** and read what i wrote. Its funny i said the same thing and your disagreeing with me. The FFXIV community are idiots. Even after i posted what the BATTLE is going to be Via the Interview/post the DEV game himself you guys still are arguing what its going to be. Read the dam thing yourself and actually, i mean actually comprehend what it says.
Also you r Class does Become YOUR JOB. Read the dam Producers notes. Idiot.
Also Classes are the job your going to be. I have no idea what Class is tied to what Job. I do agree with you that PUG Class would be the Monk JOB. Given that it is Hand to Hand.
Hay show me where i wrote Jobs and classes would be interchangeable??
Unless they implement 1 handed crossbows you won't even have to address this issue.
Several jobs in FFIV used bows and arrows (WHM, PLD, SMN I think) which did not affect their ability to play their role. But to take the paladin example, if you're not able to equip a shield because you are playing with a 2 hands bow, you reject a whole set of shield specific defensive abilities that probably will not make you a desirable paladin in a pt, but that could make a decent and fun combination for solo or specific roles, as pulling and crowd control idk.
I just realized something sad :(
The "each class unlocks one job quest" thing means there's not going to be very many mages D: 2 at most with the current classes....
How do you become that Job> Oh ya leveling up that class that unlocks the Actions to become that job. hay wait a min oh ya thats what i said from the get go...
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...form-Blueprint Tyr and read this again and then rethink it. Look uder the JOB. part
