Monk 3.0 CHAKRA UNLEASHED

The Blm in my group bursted at 2.1K until the hand phase in as3 last night. Idunno if Monks are single target king Dervy.

Yeah, my new high is 1322 at i192 no food, no pot, no party buff. I don't know what it was during combat, the 1322 was after it ticked down so I should have been holding in the 1330's as well. Roughly the same time frame as the one you posted. I was getting 1310-1315 as a final number fairly consistently. Unfortunately I play fullscreen so no active overlay for me so I only see what it ends up at after ticks down.

Did 1480 on faust, but was also the recipient of some AST card(s).


1310-1330 lines up with what I was parsing on dummy as well.

Just curious, but did you have a dragoon or ninja in your party too? I did 1484 on Faust with no splash and I was a bit sloppy on the fight. I was hoping to see some people breaking 1500 on him near or slightly above my ilevel. I was getting around 1630 in A2S as well, but a lot of that can vary based on comp and how much raid DPS you are doing. My raid isn't super high on the DPS spectrum other than myself.

1484 without splash on faust is impossible, really, not doing splash on faust period and still doing a base monk rotation is impossible unless the offtank isn't attacking faust at all.

ACT -> Encounter -> Expand "Faust" -> Right click "Incoming Damage" -> "Lookup by Combatant".

If you use ACT, you can check your damage on Faust alone by checking Faust's incoming damage.
Right-clicking and picking 'Lookup by Combatant' will show everyone's individual dps on Faust only.
So it's easy to state a Faust number without splash.

1484 is pretty crazy though.

It's certainly not impossible because that's what I did last night. I agree that typically you will get splash, but I did not. 3 of us all showed the same thing and were surprised that I got no splash, but this isn't the first time nor will it be the last time I do that fight without getting splash. Also as others pointed out you can absolutely check your damage on Faust alone too even if you do get splash. Our offtank just pulls the adds off to the side.

Faust is a pretty short fight so if you get good crits you can ride the DPS high before leveling out. I'm pretty certain that others can vouch that I am not going to post up some numbers that I've made up. By the way I asked the other person if they had another melee and forgot to state that I had a dragoon for Battle Lit...oh that sweet, sweet Battle Lit on a short fight is nuts.

No splash by default on Faust. Not possible. I agree with TheMax1087

But yeah, so far I've been just messing around with a lot of rotations and I'm sure the absolute best will come out at some point. Anyway, I can hit around 1320 dps very consistently (ilvl 191, no buffs) with this one so I'm pretty happy with it. :o

Lilyth, if i may, can i possibly get your rotation on that with buffs/ogcds?

Ive been trying out Ossom's rotation currently to see how it pans out versus 3.0 and im liking it thus far the buffs down the line sync very well with demo. I didnt like 3.0s buff lay out after the opener my ir/b4b didnt line up with demo at times unless i wait 1 sec at times(nope). I still have test more and write down how the buffs mesh with everything.
