Like I won't pretend to be the best player. My FFlog for Tsukiyomi shows I have a lot of room to improve and if the day ever comes that I seriously want to put my nose to the ground and have enough time to play to do so, I will. Yet unless someone is royally messing up I feel like the developers tend to be a little too forgiving with many of the enrage mechanics. Hell, I'm almost of the opinion more fights need them. Anyone whose has sat through a twenty minute long war of attrition with Construct 7 can attest to that. There are fights in this game that are easy to somewhat recover from, but also easy to get overly fatigued with. If you end up with a screwball Alliance in Ridorana it's not out of the question that you might end up with half the group on the floor for that fight while people continue plugging along in the background. All of them scrambling to recover and unable to catch their breath to assess what went wrong. (And I literally was in Alliance two weeks ago that had one of these dreaded twenty minute fights... So it still does happen.)
That's one of the reasons I do like enrage meters. Yes it's disappointing when you can't make them. But it's a hard reset that gives you some breathing room to asses where improvement is needed. If you're just constantly pounding your head against a wall, yes you might actually break through it after awhile, but you're not exactly learning anything out of the whole ordeal.
