Hildibrand for relic? Really?

Locking relics behind the most recent Hildibrand quests seems far too excessive. All you need to know context wise is who Godbert is, would be fine to just lock it behind whatever ARR quests introduces you to him. I also find it amazing how they somehow made phase 1 of the relic even shorter then it was in ShB. Cutscene, 1500 tomestone payment, cutscene, done.

For anyone who keeps up with it, it's a small annoyance at best. Probably less so if they actually enjoy Hildibrand. For anyone who hasn't...oof. I don't envy them. That'll take a bit to get caught up.

It takes like 2 hours if you skip and you can go back and watch the cutscenes later if you care that much about immediately starting your relic that is only ilvl 615.

Yeah, but there's still a lot of quests between ARR and EW. I don't have an issue with it personally, and I enjoy Hildibrand which also helps, but even I can acknowledge when something might be annoying to others. Doubly so if they don't enjoy Hildibrand at all.

The relic weapons look turbo generic anyways.

I like the Dark Knight one (which is the only one i have so far) since it reminds me a bit of XII. I expected a bit more extravagant honestly

This was my biggest disappointment with these. I'm pretty sure the monk one has been done before in this game as a PvP reward.
