It's not dyable so you'll lose 3 points, if you just want the mgp from 80 points then it will be fine. It seems to be worth the same as an undyed survival shirt.

HQ makes no difference.

Weapon also makes no difference, but the lucis is the only dyable fishing rod, and you must be fisher to wear the gold hat.

Any job or class can use them. Its an from ARR. Accessories were not restricted in ARR. All jobs/classes can use all ARR accessories. They didn't start the restrictions until HW, and then they got even more restrictive with SB

All classes can wear them, including gathering and crafting classes.

Scored 100 myself, thanks to all the useful information here! Did Halcyon Lucis in an afternoon. I wanted to point out you may have to dye it Goobbue Grey to get the full points .. I scored 100 and then changed the dye to a lilac just on the fishing pole and it dropped me back down to 97. So like the hands and the feet ... dye color may matter on the weapon as well. I didn't do anything too much different than the other 100s already posted. My hands and feet were part of the New World set because that's what I had on hand, pretty sure as long as they are dyed to the right color you can wear anything in those two slots so don't feel like you have to break the bank on special shoes or gloves.

Reminder that you do NOT need to fish to get Halcyon Lucis Rod. Unlock the min/btn lucis and you can buy the other two at calamity salvager.

Fishing to unlock it is a waste of time and rng..

how to get tacklekeep hat? my blue scrip is 0 T__T

You are judged based on your glamour, or if unglamoured then based on the actual items. Basically, on your appearance, not on the actual gear.

• undyed left side: 27 points
• left side dyed snow white / soot black: 27 points
• left side dyed nophica green / deepwood green: 31 points
• left side dyed dalamud red: 33 points

Analysis:

• base case is 7 from weapon, 2 from each of 3 hinted slots, 7 from each of 2 unhinted slots
• both greens gives +2 to body and hands
• dalamud red gives +3 to head and shoes
• white and black give no bonus at all, so it's possible for dyes to give +0.

I can confirm that with the following. I got a 99 score..

Makai Bow - Goobue Grey
Flap Cap - Dal. Red
Survival Shirt - Dark Green
Expeditioner's Gloves - Dark Green
New World Pants - Cream Yellow

I just got the Rauni Lucis and this does not work. the Salvager sells the Mammon Lucis but not the Rod.

I just did Rauni Lucis and he sells all 3 Lucis DoL tools now. Does he sell the NQ Halcyon rod for you? If not, you may be behind on the fishing class quests and would need to do them to the point where you unlock the Halcyon rod.

So for the hands and feet, it just needs to have the correct color dye, and any dyeable gear works? Also, I'm going to assume that the augmented tacklekeep cap works as well, as I had that hanging around from before.

You also need to have completed the level 60 FSH class quest.

That is correct.
I attempted to try with Ala Mhigan because I was wearing that at the time and had no other dyeables.

Unfortunately, I also attempted to dye the gloves Deepwood Green instead of Dark Green and it gave me 99 points.. Sad, can't scrimp on it. As for augmented tacklekeep, I haven't tried myself, but I assume should be fine?

Confirming the bit about the Mammon Lucis.

Prior to today i did not complete the original Halcyon rod -> Supra/Mammon/Lucis bit. I just had the first rod in one of my inventories. My fisher was level 68, and i unlocked spearfishing through main fishing quest. I had Supra + the umbral notes. I purchased the 15x600 GC seal items and 4 more moon stones, got my Lucis Mammon. Went back to calamity salvager and now Lucis Halcyon rod is available.

I can confirm that the augmented tacklekeep hat also works, though that's not really surprising as it is the same model, just higher ilvl.

makes me sad, i couldn't find an alternative to the new world hose, the stupid macrame is expensive, if you have a lvl 60, and 600 poetics, just make yourself a augmented shire weapon and dye it. works all the same. i just got a 94 with everything that people have posted. i looked around for a different set for legs but just couldn't get anything. ribbon of healing only gave me 4 stars lol

This week as a challenge to myself I took the theme, and forced myself to ONLY use 1. Stuff I already owned and 2. Only vendor dyes - for the first try.

Thankfully, I already had Behemoth Earrings and Mog Ex - note that both those items are free, but require you to run content or have run it in the past and kept the reward. (Dear 2015 self: Thank you for keeping that Ribbon of Aiming!)

I used vendor dyes only, but followed this week's dye clues. Red hat, green shirt and gloves, yellow pants, red shoes. I used Rolanberry Red, Nophica Green, and the cream yellow and goobbue gray are already vendor colors.

Under these constraints, I put together a base outfit worth a score of 81, without spending any more than 300-400 gil at the dye vendor.

If you're a veteran player with a large closet full of old glams, it seems you'll be able to do this fairly cheaply just for the 60K MGP each week. It's newer players who haven't hoarded or run a lot of it who might struggle.

I then went and visited the Calamity Salvager to retrieve a Halcyon Lucis rod, turned in this week's yellow scrips thing to M'naago so I could get a macrame, bought two dark green dyes off a FC member who had extras (she sold them to me for 100K each), discovered I had a Surival Shirt after all, mined some red pigment and made my own Dalamud Red dye - and got my score of 100.

Yeah this week seems especially inaccessible for new players. They don't all have 800k gil to spend on just the pants. And then there's still fancy dyes, EX gear, etc. etc.

Not really sure how the colours fit for this week, but you could be right since last week I think pure white and jet black were needed. Being the most expensive dyes would make sense with "high society". Although overall theme also seems to fit at least the most correct guess for left side themed parts (probably is not like this for right since there are not that many options for jewerly).

For that one you left slots empty - never do that! Just put ANYTHING in there (if theres no hint, anything goes - if it can be dyed: dye it! Correct colour gives more points. Accessories cant be dyed at all though, so just use any)

Maybe if I'm lucky this will continue to encourage running things like Dzu, so I can catch up on achievements and such. >_>

I didn't keep old glams before the dresser was released so I had to get that dzu fate done again. Took almost the whole timer of the fate to very gradually deplete its HP starting with me soloing and later increasing to a few people I managed to coax into joining. Moogle ex was simple enough to solo unsync as tank. Was very happy with my 100 rating thanks to some helpers.

On our server the hunt shells started reporting on achievement fates as well. I'm now only missing Virfofnir thanks to them.

In case anyone wanted to try to bypass the FSH requirement, Mammon Lucis + Minekeep's Helmet won't get you 100.

Huh, silly me, thinking I could win a Fashion contest without being a fisherman.

Anyone try the ironworks/carbonweave cap of gathering? It has the same silhouette as the flat and tacklekeep's cap with the small brim and bunched up forehead, which makes me a little optimistic about it. There's also the Postmoogle Cap but that's not dyeable so I'm not sure if you lose points for that even if it's theoretically gold by itself.

I'm still not quite sure how the scoring system works. If you get bonus points for dyes, does that mean any item that can't be dyed is automatically out of the equation?
