It appears that Stormblood is now available for prepurchase on Steam. :). I am assuming that we don't get all the pre-purchase goodies til early access begins or does that come sooner?

so I preordered on PSN a while ago but I haven't received the apparent bonus item code I'm supposed to get? Does anyone know if it's different on ps4, or is it just not out yet?

You don't get a code it automatically applied to your account when bought on PSN.

Pre-order bonuses are mailed on release day. Also, I was honestly surprised this was available on Steam already. Just last night it just said pre-purchase was only available in May then an FC mate mentioned it and it was available for purchase today. Nabbed me a collectors edition.

Anyone else a steam user? how do I get the digital collector's edition for SB on steam? only the standard is available on the dlc page at the moment

They've stopped responding on this issue and most have gone straight to either the USA YouPost or Australian EB Games and getting someone to forward it.

Australian & New Zealand do not have access to the EU store it defaults to the AU site and only the Digital Versions are available there. There's currently no official NZ way to get the Stormblood Collector's Edition and SquareEnix has yet to come back to us with an official response.

My bad could have sworn that region got it through the EU site my mistake.

I thought JB Hi-Fi were getting the CE? Digital CE is on the NZ psn store and it's very cheap. That's where i'll get mine.

I have a question regarding the map we will be receiving in the physical CE. During the EU fan fest they said that the new map will be in the CE. Does this mean that the one they showed during that CE reveal was not the map we will be receiving? Or are we perhaps getting both? Because the one that they showed was large enough to show Eorzea, but I don't think those dimensions would be large enough to show the entirety of the new world that was revealed now (at least not in the same detail). Or will we receive one big map that's double the size of what they showed?

I just preordered via PS store, but didn't get a code via mail yet. I thought they'd be sent out immediately. Did I miss something?

If you order through the PS store everything is already included and no further action is required on your part.

Hi,
I pre-order a Stormblood Collector's Edition (PC Download) in square-enix online store.
I already redeemed my 18-digit pre-order code and inserted it in the MogStation option "Enter Pre-order Bonus Code (Early Access Code)".
In my account status, I have early access available for Stormblood but I don't have the collector's edition.
Did something went wrong with my pre-order?

No, you will get your CE code at launch. There are 2 codes, you only got the early access code so far.

So I pre-order a physical PC copy of Stormblood via Bestbuy and I was wondering if thats makes me eligible for Early Access of Stormblood since I just noticed the item won't ship until June 20th, 2017. Does that mean I might miss out on the Early Access period and unable to obtain the pre-order bonus items(Ala Mhigan Earrings and Red Mage Minion)?
I was thinking of canceling the order since its still in the processing stage for weeks now and just buy the CE digital version but I'm a tad paranoid that SE might ban me if I cancel the purchase of the physical pc copy?

Did you input your early access key into your Mog station? If you pre-ordered, you should have received a key which you then paste into the Stormblood Early Access key area in Mog station.

PSN users don't have codes to worry about.

PSN takes care of it all. You won't get the preorder items until early access starts or 6/20/17

My friend likes physical copies, but is instead considering getting the digital collector's edition for the added rewards. Their concern is if their PC craps out, how would they re-download FFXIV if they don't have the CD?

Also, is it possible to gift the digital collector's edition?

As the Expansion Pack seems to contain Heavensward as well as Stormblood, it seems a shame there isn't a discount for those of us who already have Heavensward. The combination is great for new starters, who just need to buy ARR + SB, but no as good if we already bought ARR + HW and now SB as well.

In my experience, there is always a way to identify yourself and prove you bought the digital edition - which then allows you to re-download it.

Others have advised that this gets done automatically as your Square Enix account is linked to your PSN account. I think this is what happened with ARR and HW, although it is hard to remember.

All of the other versions you get an email with a code, which you use on the reclaim site to get another code, which you then use on the MogStation to get the expansion registered for Early Access.

Lucky - in the UK the digital downloads are for PC or Mac, not both. If you want both you have to pay for each one.


Edit - perhaps I misread that and you meant that there is a digital download option for each platform - at extra cost for each of course?

Yes each costs $60 so if you want it for each platform you'll have to pay for each individual one so that would come out to $180 not counting tax.

Well, for PC or Mac versions, when you buy a digital version (either standard or collector's), you're buying a code which can then be added to a SE account through the MogStation. So you could buy one and simply give the code to someone else to add to their account. It's not associated with who bought it, only with whose account it's registered to.

With the PS4 version, on the other hand, I think the digital versions are only available through the PSN. Anything bought through the PSN is automatically registered to the PSN account that bought it, and in this case also to the SE account linked to that PSN account. I think the closest you can come to gifting a digital PS4 game is to give someone a PlayStation Store gift card for the appropriate amount and tell them to use that to buy the game.

I ordered from Best Buy cause had the gamer club for 20% and had $20 reward certificate, which I did cause the certificate was going to expire in February anyways so it was kind of use it or lose it deal. But my concern is that best buy doesn't mention anything about early access which I started thinking about might be a problem if it doesn't include EA cause I have ARR/HW as digital and the SB from best buy would be physical and as far as I know can't mix digital and disc together. With early access you would just get a code to download the digital version and when the physical disc came would just be able to enter the key into mog station and continue playing with the digital copy as it the same client but since best buy has made not mention of EA am I still going to be able to use it? Will there be a code inside the physical disc to download the digital copy or will I be stuck with a copy I can't use?

You can't mix Steam with physical. You can mix physical and digital otherwise if it's the same platform. Also, the store should give you a early access key beforehand. Maybe it's on your receipt?

I would check the receipt and if it's not there, go back to the store and ask.

I purchased the steam digital collectors version of stormblood since my account is steam based (Ugh wish I could change this) and I entered in the early access code from mogstation which is all correct but it doesn't register the digital collectors version from my account page, I know theres a seperate keycode from steam for it but everytime I enter it in code redemption it says invalid, do you need to wait until stormblood officially releases for the digital collectors edition keys?
