Got my Chinese friend to translate, you buy them from their cash shop with their points system. I believe you can outright buy points, or earn them from playing the game but they pay hourly so it's a different situation. The chocobo is also a limited time item apparently, the outfit is permanently on their shop.

It being a mog station purchase in China doesn't mean that I agree that it should be a Mog station here, or anywhere 0.o

I am not sure I understand your reply. You don't see any reason why not, as in why don't I agree that it should be in the mog station? I don't think it should be in the mog station, because I think it should be in-game in sub-based games.

If you're asking why I don't think it being in China is a good excuse for it being here, well I don't think it should be in the mog station in China nor here. There are plenty of things that happen in China that I disagree with, and the excuse that they do it so it's OK that we do it is kinda weird.

Well since Gold Saucer isn't in the Chinese version (I think?), we sort of do get exclusive gear. The stuff we buy with MGP.

Another vote for having chinese/korean exclusives made available to us, including that chocobo barding! Ideally would prefer just letting everyone have everything and not bothering with exclusives anymore, but I imagine that's part of some deal that was worked out when they brought FFXIV over to those regions.

Also, personally I don't mind it being on the mog station as long as it's not overpriced. Let's be honest, FFXIV's cash shop is pretty decent and fair compared to a lot of other MMOs with their wallet-gouging strategies. I don't think a $5-15 outfit is worth raising the pitchforks over.

Its only gambling if real money is involved.

I heard that part of the reason MGP was set up as a separate currency is that some places (I'm not even sure where) frown on even depicting fictional characters gambling. MGP is another layer removed from actual money. Not only is it not money in the real world (which alone would be enough to allow it most places, and for the game's Teen rating in the US), but it's not even money in our characters' world. To keep it that way, nothing obtained through the Gold Saucer is convertible to gil, and therefore our characters aren't gambling.

I'd be fine with those outfits being either something you get using MPG, or through the mog station...either way I would love to be able to get those outfits!

I'm just chiming in that I want these, Since the dev team seems to want "Support" for these.

Meanwhile a couple of threads with 2 pages asking for things like adding Terra's theme to the magitek armor or asking for some random minion get sudden responses and get passed right away and implemented super fast.

I have a question: Are there people on the JP forums asking for the Korean and Chinese items too or is this more of an NA/EU/AU thing?

I mean on these threads not in a Q&A, We've been showing our interest to these items since they were released in China and Korea and not one Rep has let us know that these are in fact being monitored because judging from that Q&A it seems that they definitely aren't and be to honest it's pretty worrying.

I kind of wish I hadn't seen them. I'm still quietly waiting for the Panda minion.

Personally, I'm not entirely bothered by these ending up on the Mogstation. As far as I know, these "exclusive" outfits aren't designed by SE themselves, but rather the companies that run the Chinese and Korean versions of FFXIV. And if that's so, then despite being "allowed" to handle SE's copyrighted game, the outfits designed by the Chinese/Korean companies could be a different matter to outfits designed by SE's staff itself. (Unless they sign some kind of waiver to the point of 'everything we create to be implemented in FFXIV will belong to SE and not to us', of course.) But unless it's confirmed that SE either A: are the actual creators of said exclusive outfits, or B: have full rights to use said outfits in whichever manner they want, I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt. For all I know, SE might need to pay some kind of fee to the designing company, and as such Mogstation incomes for that particular outfit would pay for that.

But like I said, that's my personal opinion. Other people might disagree and/or have more information regarding the copyrights and all that. =)

The question that Yoshida was asked during the LIVE letter was more specifically "Are you going to sell the Chinese dress in all regions?" and less "Are you going to implement it?" (which is what the current Q reads as). Yoshida commented that they don't want to add too many things for sale, but in instances like where the Lightning Returns gear was made available for sale due to overwhelming demand for it, they want to hear from everyone. This is why he asked for comments to be made on the forum. This doesn't imply that they're not aware of this thread, as we have forwarded it to the team, but more they wanted to get a wider view of feedback from all regions.

I think having to buy it is fine. It's the Chinese players' special swag, I think if we got it for free too it'd make it seem less special to them.

It's 2016, there should not be anything region locked... There is always someone in a different country that likes things from another country, you would think SE would understand that by now.

Didn't change characters in the story and don't items because of region. It's the Internet, we are all playing the same game, give us the same things.
