Damn straight.

EDIT: and you know this'll happen in a couple of months after you've sunk your £50 on it.
wow this is screwed if its that much there prob be even more here in australia since we get ours from there
haha no ill most likely have to get it off the eu store which is under maintenance and aparently they dont ship to australia either so it will have to be online and if theres no phisical ce i wont be getting ce at all tbh its screwed
In many ways the games industry is the wild west, especially outside of Japan and NA.
Governments and regulating bodies seem to ignore what game publishers do.. unless it suits them to abuse things further like Brazil does of course.
Rest assured this is the kind of deep seated and harmful issue related to videogames that #fakergate will never bother addressing..
Does it mean Japanese Players get to buy it for 130 yen (roughly one dollar)? Damn...
Over to you mods. I'm still highly interested to see if your store policies (Or more specifically, the EU/UK region locking) are compliant with EU laws.Quote:

@devisaidso Unfortunately we can't comment on business/pricing decisions via social channels. You may have more luck on the forums.
Can't even use the excuse of VAT because if you want to add VAT over the actual conversion it comes out lower.
I'm betting they'll come out with some crap about it funding an EU datacentre.
You know, like the cash shop was supposed to.
I just want an official response to the damn matter instead of being passed around and dodging the direct questions.
Because right now in the US;
1) They're able to pre-order, right now.
2) They're getting it cheaper.
3) They've just had more servers brought up to help ease the stress of the US Store.... because y'know, those poor NA people and their slow-loading cart, such a burden.
£130!? No way in hell am I parting with that much money.
It's so amazing how people keep their jobs at SE or even get them to start with when they are lazy enough to not even use google to convert currencies. It is usally a rip off that they do euros = dolars... but pounds??? Is it really woth it ruining your companies name just for a small cash grab like this? I'm still waiting for the Add on support and EU datacenters.
After being so lame and not even having a datacenter for EU when even free to play games have it.. they manage to pulls something like this. Another thing i don't understand is how can they also manage to not be able to have their site working for a simple pre order.... the early access days look promising.
that's how it's been working with subscription prices, since the game was released; EU been paying more all along...which ofc is ridiculous, and needs to be fixed. So actually we should get expansion for free, since we already paid for it several times over, cause SE don't know the difference between euro and dollar.
I hope it costs 130sek in Sweden, that would be quite the bargain (22$ish) but obviously they wouldn't make THAT mistake...
I really hope this is a clerical error, because £130 is an outrageous price for an expansion.
I remember my Diablo III CE pre-order cost $140 in Australia (yes, including the "Australia tax"), and it contained more than the Heavensward CE which would come to around $250 Australian dollars BEFORE the "Australia tax". For us Kiwis it's $261. That's enough to buy 3-4 recently released non-CE games.
They confirmed it earlier today on Twitter for SE-EU, it IS the price :(

be cheaper to buy a life size dragon statue lol
I'm in the U.S. and I still can't find justification for me to spend $130 for a video game...repeat...VIDEO GAME. If it's true that they are just swapping currency symbols then that REALLY sucks for you guys.
I'm doing the digital download and that's going to be the end of it. Not going to give in to bulls!@t just because it's there.
This is such BS. Why the hell do we have to pay more for CE than US. Been a CE since 1.0 but if this price is not going to be corrected i`ll go find another MMO to play. They already making so much cash with all the subs, now they want to make even more cash from Expa.
Which offsets the fact that it's not even a game itself since it cannot be played alone. It's an expansion, which should always be cheaper than the base game. And then on top of that, shipping to where I live is another $30 on top of it, so it's $160 for me to justify spending. Just not going to happen.
SE cannot justify the price difference, it's greedy and a terrible business decision. Yet again shows disregard and lack of respect for us, the customer, the subscribers, the players. I feel sorry that the hard graft that goes into the game has to be spoilt by this kind of sly, well, bs. I understand this is a business we're talking about, I'm open to ways that SE may try to gain revenue (such as the optional items) and even feel good supporting a game I like, but I play fair and give credit (or in this particular case, money) only where credit is due. I'll happily spend as long as I feel I'm not getting ripped off, and in this case we are. Frankly, I'm not prepared to be taken for a fool. All I can say is I hope they resolve this one or this company will finally plummet in my estimations. Don't expect me to stick around if you try to rip me off.
130 GBP=130 USD
SE logic.
Fail lol
thats what canadians are stuck paying at this time WITHOUT counting in import fees and taxes (and yes I am using USD not CND) at least your VAT is rolled in so what you see is what you pay guess Canada got screwed more than the brits :( (not saying its right just that it could be worse)
I am genuinely disgusted by this, SE, and you can bet your very last dollar (pound, whatever, tis all the same to you, right?) that I will not be buying your collect it's edition this time around. A shame, really, on you, and on the fools who buy into this blatant extortionate bs.
