I do hate to be a party ruin-er of sorts, but I really don't understand all the hype behind this. It looks like a regular cave that you have been in plenty of times with a few new models for doors and doodads. Same exact mob skins with different stat numbers, and no clear indication as to the depth of these dungeons..
Can't help but wonder if this is all a fancy prelude to the awesomeness that will be Ifrit.

Also it is not a "New" Dev Team, it is the same Dev Team that made the game just a few leads and heads have changed and also some talent from other projects have been brought in to assist.
The point I was trying to make in that post is that the game has a lot of stuff that we are locked out of and is hidden from view. Like those reactor things, they were put there for a reason and they do have a purpose but we can't access them yet. This dungeon was already in the game so has not been built from scratch by the looks of it, so are we just getting the dungeon that was already in place but reworked to run with the new mechanics.
So are they just reworking the original content that we didn't have access to or are they actually creating everything from scratch. I imagine it is a combination of both and there is nothing wrong with that, however if they are reworking original content then I expect them to pick up the pace a bit once the gameplay mechanics are finalised and start getting content into the game at a quicker pace.
Namely, in order to enjoy the experience an RPG provides on a larger scale with other players. Now, you can imagine that the enjoyment factor is far lower when you do the same content over and over with miniscule changes to the formula. Tell me, are these not the same enemies you have already seen? What is in this nearly barren cave worth risking life and limb for?

While the content IN the video looks good, the video itself was really low quality. I could have produced a better video in my sleep. If they are going to attract new players with content like this they really need to have a better media production team. The transitions were awful, and there was no cohesive thought flow throughout the video.
I am still saddened by the fact that the multiple action bars won't be available in 1.18, that awful tin sound on the UI won't be gone, and the UI is still terrible.
Finally, anyone notice the huge lag between the HP bars and the actual animation going off of the Eye? /sigh
Other than those missing few things which have been promised to come in the near future, the dungeon as a whole looks to be promising.
Just the fact that the "system" that ypu play it with is new? Just the fact that is actual content, rather than just stupid grinding? Just the fact that people would kill little puppies to get anything in XIV?
They could give me a big thank you shield at the end for clearing the dungeon and I'd do it, just cause it's something to do!
Video sucks, copy pasta environment, music sucks, gear sucks, copy pasta chars models, copy pasta mobs, lame weapon models and no chocobos? Come on SE it took 4 months for this? Seriously? Why can't this game just be WoW or TERA or FFXI 2.0?

I can only assume that when they implement the end-game content that it will be epic, and challenging. A perfect recipe for everyone to enjoy. Cheers to the begining of a new era in eroza!! Aside from that, everything looks great.
SE and restrictions go hand in hand, so personally I'm pessimistic about it even with low population counts atm. Heck I don't even mind the time limit one bit in contrast to the "cap" for the number of groups that are allowed to enter at once. If a couple dozen groups can go in at once max even then no worries, otherwise...
exited to try the new dungeon, but companies sound like a version of campaign ops and ...erm who the hell did campaign ops.
lol not that i care that much, but not much of the UI is resizable and on top of that, the things you can resize are still quite bold and large.
why cant the action bar be resized? its waaaay too massive.
i play on 1440 x 900 , my max res settings so no dont tell me to raise my res.... >.>
zzz redesign is gonna take years , not months, especially this game. I just dont get why some people cant think this far enough. Is true that the game has some bad points, but dont put chilies on the points , dont be negative already for people's mind sake, especially you kind sir who been regarded as troll ~_~

yeah the exc has a too hander mar weapon, maybe it's the marader job? not sure what to make of that. can't wait till it's released.

IF YOU REALLY CARE THAT MUCH IF IT'S A NEW CLASS/JOB, YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T CARE ENOUGH TO ACTUALLY CHECK THE TOPIC FOR ANSWERS THAT WERE ALREADY MADE!!!
So why would they use the English abbreviations for the rest of the classes? As far as I know, sword users arent called Gladiators in the Japanese version. Not saying it is or isnt a new job for the marauder class...but it seems like abit of an oversight to use the english abbreviations for everything but MRD.

It wouldn't make sense to show off the job in this video because this is a video of the dungeons in 1.18 when they already stated we won't be getting Jobs until 1.20. Also, I believe a few pages ago someone explained that Executioner is what the English side originally called Marauder, but then changed it. As you can tell, this is the Japanese version, so over there they probably never bothered doing the change.
Oh, well that makes sense.
...So why are pirates called executioners again? Can't be that many heads that need chopping. =P
Well in-game they don't even remind me much of pirates. Now, I've never done the MAR quest-line, but still. A player as a Marauder looks nothin' like a pirate, especially when they're wearing chainmail armor. I honestly think it should've been kept as Executioner. Would fit more. Who knows, maybe they plan on changing it.
