Fantastic stuff. Now how about word on the item limit for once? The way you avoid the topic is becoming aggravating.

Dunno if this was mentioned, buuuut...
Are there plans to have seasonal event furniture for our houses?
Egg decorations for Hatchingtide.
Trees and presents for the Christmas event.
Scary decorations for Halloween.
etc.
I was wondering if anyone has suggested this before, but can we have the option to purchase a caretaker permit similar to the mender/supplier/junkmonger permit that allows us to place NPC in the house that will leave messages set by the FC to the visiting players whenever they talk to them?
Aside from the race/gender option, we can get to select what they wear and what message they want to pass on, etc. This could make the house much livelier. Of course there will be a limit to how many we can place, like the gardening plot.
glad that we will be able to hang stuff on partitions, but I'd much rather have the option to spread the wallpaper to the partitions. We got so many options in 2.2, and it looks really ghetto when your partitions stick out like a sore thumb if you want to try something new.
Add me to the request for "Ponds for Fish breeding"
Really need a way to remove unwanted guests from your house. Turning off guest access once they're inside does nothing. Now I have a naked level 2 Roegadyn squatter who won't leave until he crashes or maintenance happens.
Can we have something like a stuffed Megladon or something that that be awesome! Or some other fish that you can mount on a wall or something. That would give the fishing class something to do for housing too.
I was thinking a little more about this today and realized that if we could sell company goods in a FC vendor stall with groups of items packaged together that would be almost an entirely separate market from the market board.
Having pre-made "synth packs" would be too convenient to have on the market board however, if we made people go to the free companies to get them, the value of such packages would surely generate traffic in the housing areas. What if you're company was known for making complete armor packages for warriors? Or what about companies that liked to farm and generate goods for the cooks? I think this would only compliment the current single item market. It would also attract the same type of people interested in the company for what it produces.
(sorry if mentioned previously)
Partitions with doorways built in. It doesn't have to have a door (though that would be nice), just at least an archway. It would look way better than a gap between partitions that simulates a doorway. :/
Could we have rug-like objects that aren't actually rugs? Basically, things like steel plates or wooden planks so we can have different types of floor surfaces on the same floor. This seems like it'd be a simpler way to deal with it than having to change how flooring works.
I would love if they would allow us to add additions even for small houses, like say a loft above :D
Hey can we get some haukke manor torture devices for Furnishings?
I'd like some taller trees -- so far nothing is as tall as the palms, but it'd be nice to have some Uldah or deciduous Gridania-style trees that are also that height.
Also, some garden cactuses.
while kinda said before but some of the seasonal decorations spread around the cites would be an excellent addition to the crafting logs permanently or even if only through that time frame to add a little more rarity to them .. and please let us clothe our merchants menders etc they look like hobos sure if you going for the crawled out of the ditch look inside... but not with such nice furniture
I'd like to be able to use specific pieces of furniture both inside and outside.
For example, the most of the good looking flowers are indoor-only. Outside furnishings only have tiny little pots or the bizarre dungeon drop items that aren't really ideal.
There's also some outdoor tables and chairs that would look nice indoors and vice-versa.
It's probably a stretch but couldn't hurt. What about say you get X amount of blocks and you can shape your house differently with that limit depending the plot size obviously. Say someone wanted a larger main floor and basement instead of an upstairs in a med/large. Or a second floor instead of basement in a large. They could just move those "blocks" around and make one floor larger at the cost of making another floor smaller when first setting up the house before anything goes inside of it. Or in your case you remove part of one of the floors to add the loft.
^ Very good ideas Mandudez, i feel like housing should have expansion abilities if need be. I would gladly pay out of my own gil to expand our FC house
Grid lines for hanging wall mounted items
Hello, everyone.
If the nameplates on interactive furnishings have been getting in the way when arranging your house, rest assured knowing that the development team is looking into adjustments. They plan to add a furnishing-specific category for nameplate settings and would like to implement this sometime after patch 2.3.
-ability to change ceiling
-wall mountable "doors" that can be hung on the wall, giving the illusion of say a closet, or a washroom, even if the door can't be used.
-while were on the subject of washrooms....how bout some sinks and toilets, maybe some tubs? my miqo'te has been pooping in the garden and bathing in the ocean.
Can we please have an option to separate the wall types by room? On the top floor I'd like one section to have the metal wall, and the other one to have the Arbor wall..for example. :) Thank you.
Dunno if anything has been touched but i'm sure it has since patch. But still going to ask anyway. Any mention or future plans from devs about making matching partitions to the new wall types? It kinda bothers me there's new wall themes but no partitions to match them so the 3 current partitions kinda of offset the whole rooms mood. Some match tho like arbor and glade. or stone and oasis. limsa and riviera. but most don't match up.
I just want beer steins and wine glasses for our bar. Maybe some wine barrels and beer kegs.
barstools
option for no ceiling light
ability to hang wall mounted lights on partitions
I would like a pond, maybe a small waterfall rock formation, etc, for the front yard. The Leviathan fountains reminded me how lovely a water feature is in a yard.
Can the Beast Tribe vendors sell instruments along with the other furniture they sell? I love all the Beast Tribe music, especially the Amalj'aa and Sahagin themes, and would really like to be able to play it in the house.
I don't know if this has been suggested, cuz I'm not going to sift through all 27 pages, but a Chocobo/mount Stable and or Magitek Garage hangar would be kind of cool to have around. Maybe when there's FC members on the grounds their companions would show up stabled. Perhaps something to work into chocobo breeding/racing whenever that comes out.
Balmung needs new districts. I want to place a house in Mist, and there are only two 58 million-gil lots available.
I read that idea about the Sultana showing up in the Goblet and I thought it would be a great thing for all the instances. Merlwyb showing up in Mist, or maybe the Elder Seedseer showing up in Lavender Beds.
Maybe have other random NPCs walking around? The sylphs making a pilgrimage to Gridania to leave presents for walking ones? It could be anything really, so long as it makes things a bit more lively.
Random NPCs in the wards would certainly make them feel more lively. Despite my ward of Mist being full save the large plots, it feels like a ghost town. I never run into anyone anymore and it's not like they're all hanging out in their houses. Despite the brilliant changes last patch to furnishing additions and menders, being kicked out of our house every time we zone into a duty means people are still hanging out in town.
Until that problem is resolved, I still see the wards being ghost towns, even with new NPCs. That would just at least make them feel a little alive.
Some ideas
Interactive furnitures:
When a character sits/interacts with the furniture they perform some active anymation, it could be a chait+table combination or bar where the character got a glass and drinks once in a while or start playing a music instrument.
Minions on the loose:
Minions (amount based on house size) will run around the house. These minions are donated to the company chest and then loads when someone enters. When noone is in the house it resets and randomices the selected minions
More on the personal housing side:
- Agree with a minion pet running around the house. That would be cool. I would even like the option to have my retainers hanging out there when they aren't on ventures. Personal housing might get kinda bland if it is empty all the time.
- Bed I can log off on and get rested bonus.
- Jukebox is a must.
- A Wall-mounted weapon case, would be great to store and show off some of your old weapons.
- Striking dummies that can be equipped with armor
- Armoire that can actually store most of your equipment
- pretty much everything the inn room has, you should never have to go back to an inn room after owning a house.
will think of more later.
Oh I know, more slots to add all of this :O.
In Mist, if you go to the beach, there are some chairs and Miqo's standing around. If you sit in the chair, the Miqo's will start fanning you off with a big leaf. I would like random NPCs just walking around. When you pass one, they /wave. Same with the guards too. If you are in the same GC as the guard, they /gcsalute as you walk by. If you are in a different GC, they /wave or /bow.
guys I was just about to shelve out and buy a large house ($42 million) so I would have some nice me time to craft items to sell on the market, and is it my understanding theirs no craftable marketboard? How can I make stuff and check things? guys?
