Odin and Bahamut have both officially been given the titles of "Elder" Primal. Odin in his first concept art release in the 2.0 timeline, and bahamut in a LFP shortly after the 1.0 servers went down.
I suspect the Good King Moggle Mog XII is also in this league.
They made it clear that elder primals will not be summonable. Too powerful to be controlled like that.
I have a feeling he will only appear when there is a full moon...haha just a fun guess based off the new video lol
odin is always in front of a full moon its his fav hang out :P

Yep lol, first thing that came to mind.
He's beyond an abyssal :P
good stuff lots of info to think about. I think the storyline will be good. sounds like if im running through the forest and i happen to run into him i mine as well hit the return button.
Methinks Odin could be a manifestation of Emperor Solus zos Galvus (or vice versa?)... and every full moon, ol' boy Solus needs to absorb aether to stay alive (like a vampire needs blood); so he goes into Odin mode for a bit of a snack. Sure, its an extremely wild theory but several of us had fun with these speculations a few months ago on the forums.
Mind you, its not just those crazy horns that both of them have... it's the fact that both he and Bahamut are regarded as "Elder" primals. The Garlean Emperor and his "mission" to purge the world of primals kinda sounds like he's trying to "consolidate" their essences to himself, innit? Perhaps that's how Elder primals evolve... remember how after Midgardsormr takes down the flagship Agrius, it seems like he splits off into several primals?
Still, something doesn't add up... but my other clue towards this theory was that the Emperor's two (best?) generals were the Raven (Nael) and the Wolf (Gaius)... and those two symbols are sacred to none other than the Odin from Norse mythology.
*Shrugs*... just saying.
