[dev1033] Class name changes

I also do not agree in renaming them into the old names. Most of these classes are distinctly different than what we've seen before. The closest class currently is the Pugilist to the Monk, but from a lore standpoint the Monk is supposed to be more of a spiritual warrior (based highly on the D&D Monk) and the Pugilist is more what it's name suggests, just a fist fighter.

I would love to see advanced classes, and maybe the addition of the originals. I would prefer players to have to meet certain requirements but I'd also prefer that the 'flag' quests weren't as tedious as they were in FFXI, I'd rather them be more fulfilling.

Renaming the classes as they currently stand probably is a bad idea, however making the more classic classes sort of an advanced job complete with their own quests, guilds, and lore would be great.

Secondly, I do like the idea of additional Jobs/Classes that are unlocked by doing an interesting quest/battle and those being the traditional names. I don't want to see a ffxi clone, or a fft clone, but I'm sure there is a creative middle ground the devs can come up with. ^^

I would like to see more specialized abilities that you can't use on other classes. This would add uniqueness to each class and really give you a reason to pick one over the other. (^.^)b

I agree with leaving the current classes in a basic state and use a FFT type system to unlock advanced classes which carry with them the classic final fantasy names.

I agree with Grundy even though alot of people also agree with him, its just the title of this tread sounds like taking out the new jobs we have and putting in the old ones from FFXI. Although I wouldn't mind the additions of old jobs, be it title changes which offer enchantments to the class you have on or a class all on its own. I still want New classes.

I would like to see new original jobs like the ones we have. I saw a rumor of a class using a whip and such, I like the idea. So I vote for SE to continue on the road they took on and I wish them the best of luck. But here to bringing back Great Swords and Scythe Weapons!

I dont wanna go back to calling things 'mage'

Lets have:

White Conjurer > Conjurer > Black Conjurer

Red Thaumaturge > Thaumaturge > Astral Thaumaturge

Mystic Summoner > Mystic > Mystic Scholar
