Moogle Treasure Trove returns

I can't believe people are complaining about the rewards. The moogles are trying their best, give them a break

7.1 on launch had literally nothing besides its MSQ and juneo. So that’s what………maybe 2 hours if you are lucky. Then 7.11 and 7.15 added an ultimate and a chaotic, not everyone’s cup of tea, if you didn’t do them then yes the entire gap from 7.0 to 7.2 has been about 1.5 hours of MSQ

And I don’t know what the post ARR patches have to do with anything. Those patches were actually good if you did them on patch, they only became a problem later when people wanted to speedrun HW and didn’t realise the patch cycle meant defeating gaius is only halfway to HW. I’d be totally fine to return to that sort of patch cycle not that it really is the point of the problem with the lack of content

Why are they always like this with the rewards? Even now, when the game’s not in the best spot—seriously?
They could’ve given us something more unique and expensive, like a really cool mount or glam worth 1,000 Tomestones, to keep us busy until patch 7.2.

This is the entire point. These are explicitly placed in the timeline as veteran retention events. They aren’t there for sally sprout who thinks making it HW is worth 4 posts on the main sub of reddit. Nobody I know (anecdotal I know) is resubbing or holding off on letting their sub lapse so they earn elidibus’s whistle by fishing and cutters cry and an earring nobody will ever use.

Current extremes, for one. They don't include mounts from current content. Or minions either. This really is and always has been a "in case you missed it, here's a temporary alternate way to get X" event. It's never dressed itself up as any more than that so I don't why you're getting so b*tchy about the rewards. I don't need most of them either. I'm glad it's there for those who haven't been playing going on 11 years like I have. It's fun that it often lets us see things in roulettes that we don't normally see. I was happy with the one before 7.1 because the Weapon trials were included, so those actually popped up in roulettes again.

because again these are veteran retention events. Who are they retaining? If you are so new to the game this actually has stuff that would make you reconsider dropping your sub then you likely weren’t even considering dropping it

What kind of event is “hey if you don’t want to farm eldibus unsynced (which you can do right now) how would you like to get the same reward from CUTTERS CRY THE PEAK OF 14 CONTENT”

You kind of answered your own question didn't you? I don't want to farm eldibus unsynced, so I can get things I otherwise wouldn't from Cutter's Cry.

I think it's fun to mark off the minimog and other challenges each week. Plus some rewards can be a pain, so it's fun to have a limited time event to do a variety of content to earn the mogtomes, instead of, for example, running an old extreme over and over again to get a card drop with horrible RNG.

So this event is designed for………..lazy newer players who want easier ways to get easy rewards and this is supposed to hold people over in a patch lull?

Fantastic A++ design right there

Needs more mounts.

I think the Mogpendium improved the concept, but with these rewards the main impact on me will be crashing the price of the bed I craft and sell.
