Yeah it seems not even ultimate fixes the issue at hand. Besides a job should be fun in all forms of content; I don't need to play savage to enjoy RDM, I enjoy it everywhere.

Citation needed. When the unhinged Xeno fan crawled through everyone in the thread, he found that about half the people there had cleared Extreme/Savage at least. CLEARED, which means at least a good chunk more had attempted it.

It's also getting really frustrating how the opinions of healer mains who HAVE done that content are being conveniently ignored because they don't fit your narrative.

I have only dabbled in Extreme and Savage. However, I saw enought to tell you this. Healing in higher content is only somewhat difficult during prog or in chaotic PF groups. If you have a party of halfway competent players, you are stuck pressing your 1 DPS button waiting for the next raidwide attack to happen. Basically, the game punishes you for getting better and your party being competent by giving you less to do.

I invite everyone to compare how it feels playing their favorite dps job in an msq solo duty and then compare it to playing healer in that solo duty. IIRC the big lakeland solo duty in the rain is right at the start of the second part of the shb msq ng+.

Also out of curiosity: Sindri, do you think I have the credentials to speak on healer?

I haven't PF'd Savage, but I have done Extremes. It's very much the same across that as any casual content... As people learn the fights, they start taking less and less damage and so you do less healing and in place of the lowered healing, you have nothing except mashing one button. And aside from spamming your one and only singular attack, you just need to know when to throw in a groupwide heal or two.

No one will ever take healer mains seriously after this

I was wondering if PF savage really changed the playstyle that much, so I went to check a P10S PF run I had with the worst cohealer imaginable, I had almost double their HPS with only a 21% overheal.

The end result? 137 Broils. Riveting gameplay.

I can go through all of the pages and put up statistics too. If there is a methodology showing how the information was collected and easily verifiable, please link it here and I will stand corrected. I also randomly checked to see the progress of some of the more vocal people here and 99% did not touch anything that is beyond casual content.

And yes, you dabbed in some EX, but even so, you failed to grasp the entirety of your class. It's not just about the healing, it's also about uptime, slide casting, clipping, utilizing your entire kit effectively while executing mechanics, and having as little overheal as possible. No job is unidimensional.

Afterall, art is subjective. Therefore, People crying their WoL face being made different is entirely based on subjective opinions. SE has been in gaming industry for a long time, and they're ever renowned for their artstyle. People know nothing about art, yet they complained still. They also made threads that have been occupying the first page of this section of the forum for several days.

Tell them then. Tell them they're minority, and the silent majority in game are happy with their new faces and thus disagree with them.

Don't tell me you line of logic only applies when it's convenient.

I'm the first to admit that I'm just a humble midcore player who isn't very good at the game.

I will point out that you're moving the goalposts really hard here, though (btw thanks for ignoring my Savage floor clears, really cool, that). Somehow, your argument turned from "you haven't even tried Extreme/Savage" to "you have tried Extreme but you haven't completely mastered your job". If you keep looking for the perfect player, whose opinion is the only one that matters, you will find either none or very few. If I wanted to be really cynical, I would say that's exactly your goal, though.

Instead of just ignoring feedback, what they actually need is getting more people to playtest the game on their end. Having the entire team in charge of designing combat actually play all the roles and see if they are genuinely enjoyable to play or not...
