My server feels dead

I'm sorry you haven't found your home on Dynamis, it is a struggle and you do get left to your own devices a lot. Thankfully though I am on dynamis as well I enjoy what I can get done and I plan on trying to push it further next expansion. I've only been on this game about a year but every Friday we do fate Fridays in my FC, sometimes it may only be three of us but we still do it. We do maps every Saturday (last week the elpis ones this week gazelleskin) we're trying to set up a chocobo race event or just a scavenger hunt. I get almost all my dailies accomplished through the FC. Is it a perfect thing no, but I try to accomplish stuff on Dynamis to the best of my abilities, I can hold on Hope until Xbox gets release because I figure most of them will be funneled into the dc. But I will agree DC travel probably hurt dynamis more than it helped sadly, I honestly wouldn't care if they just cut it off and say it was a mistake.

I transferred there on day 1, worst mistake I ever made. Stuck there for 90 days and logging into other DC's to get a dungeon since Dynamis would take on average 30 minutes. The minute I was able to transfer, I did. Yuk!

I don't blame you for leaving but I also find it kind of telling that you moved to an Aether server compared to the other two DCs. I apologize if it comes off insulting because that's not my intention, just an interesting observation as the majority of my friends on Dynamis left for Aether as well.

It’s because it probably is dead. When I first started playing this game, it was so easy to find groups to socialize and play with. Now? Good luck. Everyone is anti-social or suffers from anxiety. I find it really weird.

It’s only made worse by the fact that every major city is infested with AFK players, giving you a false sense of playing with others. Its sad actually.

I appreciate it. It's just hard to find an actual active one. I've been in so many that I'm just sick of jumping from one to the other to the other. The one I'm in now, they're nice, but again, it's just "Hey, let's afk all day!" I don't subscribe to RP and I get it and I don't want to knock people's hobbies, but it's why I just go hang out on Aether and do my roulettes, because everytime I ask it's like pulling teeth and this is like the 3rd FC that has been like this. I tried solo play, but there's literally zero social interaction in this game outside of a free company. I try to spark conversations in Hunt trains or Fate parties and nothing. And I know it's just a sign of the times. Discord is king, but it's rough. But what am I to do? At this point, I'm hoping my current one turns around or January 3rd. But even then, I'm not sure where I would want to go. Like a good deal of us vagrent players, I left the big servers for a reason. And now the small ones have their issues. I can not win, ya know? I just want what my FC was that kept me on Dynamis in the first place, but it's gone. And dwelling in the past isn't healthy. Sorry, I go of into rants sometimes.

If you've been in the gold saucer you probably saw me. If we're not doing our dailies or helping each other or getting stuff to craft someone's gear / workshop stuff we generally hang out there. I won't say we AFK all day but we are more active probably after 2:00 p.m. Pst. Gently we're an evening / late night community

Of course it feels dead, citizen. This game is currently in "maintenance mode" and is barely surviving until Dawntrail gets released.

I recently left Lamia because I felt it was dead. I would recommend transferring to Midgardsormr in Aether. It's a lot more lively.

One of my characters is on Dynamis with a large and I struggle every day to move them thinking if it's worth it or not. But it's not like you can find a solid non-venue/RP FC anywhere anymore that isn't an closed doors friend group too so I just stick with DC visiting.
