Everything after 6.0 has been extremely lackluster.
I attribute this to the B team essentially keeping the wheels running while Yoshi and the A team were finishing / polishing FFXVI. It is pretty clear that's where their attention was.
But enough of them do to get a decent sample size to attribute a distribution.
It's the basis of statistics. Take a small sample, analyze it, and see if you can find a pattern.
I should hope my intent is clear. I've never made any attempts to hide my intent. I've discussed it many times here.
Do what is in your personal best interest - play the games you enjoy. Learn to be a smart consumer and stop wasting your money on what you don't like so game studios and publishers will work to make the games that players actually want.
When you give your money to a company that isn't delivering a product you enjoy, you're sending the wrong message.
Endwalker just proved that XIV has suffered from the development of XVI for the worse.
And now we have a mathematics to prove it.
So fun to see the terrible edits that show that graph as if it was in "indefinite progression", when all the data in it clearly points out: Players are leaving.
But a white knight is beyond rationality. Their post are more about faith, arround a figure or group of figures.

Hi, WoW refugee still playing.
No, there's nothing wrong with that because the majority of WoW players are much different kind of players. They are used to the bad practices blizz follows to keep the vacuum firmly attached to players' wallets so, when they don't see that, they either realize how bad that was (like me) or simply leave.
I'm pretty sure like 80% of people who use the forums have hidden achievements. Many don't even post on their mains. And some are on the 24th alt due to forum bans.
A.) Hyperbole never leads to anything useful. There are a significant number of "WoW refugees" still playing.
B.) I'm surprised that many stayed. FFXIV's target audience is casual gamers looking for an engaging story. WoW's target audience is the eSports crowd. I wouldn't expect people who played WoW all the way up to the "exodus" to be likely candidates for the FFXIV playerbase. They're two very different games.
