Gold Saucer: What are your expectations / wishes?

You could however use the "class" system in FF7 to increase your chocobo's racing stats (perhaps EXP for your chocobo) when you come in the top 3 of a race. Each class level up gives you an "allocation point" to spend on either Speed, Stamina, Endurance (or similar).

As a nice little incentive, if chocobo colour isn't put into the breeding process, you could reward "chocobo dye" to 1st place under the division that you won.

eg.
Class C - Blue, Green, Pink
Class B - Light Blue, Light Green, Dark Pink
Class A - Black, Red
Class S - Gold



On top of choco racing, I would definitely love to see the snowboarding minigame make its way back. Perhaps Yoshi will feel inspired after he comes back from his vacation !

if the prizes aren't decent, who is going to play them?

Ideas;

IMO There should definitely be a casino currency.

o Random mini games with prizes (non-important or aesthetic items i.e Moomba or Tonberry ...outfits/more coins/furniture)
o Score boards with dev scores to beat?
o Multiplayer games would (obviously) be cool
o A version of the snowboard game from VII and/or the submarine one? (Yoshi P could come ...snowboard too x))
o A pokemon-esq battle game with chibi FF monsters
o A fully developed card game ala; Triple Triad/Tetra Master?
o Bandits/slots
o Black Jack and Roulette
o Music games (like rhythmic games)
o Colosseum
o Multiplayer Final Fantasy trivia (think 100 to 1 on the Xbox etc)
o Chocobo racing (not just betting this time but actual controllable real-time racing aswell)

I could go on forever, this is something I was asking for in 1.0...
I was 1/2 way done with creating a Chocobo Racing linkshell with Gil prizes etc involved lol

The Gold Saucer in FFXIII-2 was a massive letdown.
I hope Yoshi and the team have the time (eventually) to make the Gold Saucer awesome, Mini games are addictive as hell and I'd spend hours and hours in there if even a fraction of the things I've mentioned are realised.

The prizes don't have to be gear, they could be items/furnishings/etc.
I just don't want to spend weeks grinding away on content I probably won't enjoy just for a piece of gear which would class me "n00by" without.

The reward can be Mounts, Stuff for housing, mini-pet, Fashion items, gils, some food/potion, cards for a game :D, ...

The games in Gold Saucer should use GP (Gold Points) as currency, just like in FFVII. lol
