Wait I am confused.....People were complaining that there were no new servers coming. Now that they are announced they are coming and have an actual date on when people are now complaining because of uhhh....what? data center transfers? enough is never enough for some people I guess.

Yea my fear is a repeat of my masamune experience where I did not want to spend to transfer to tonberry when it became the new unofficial oceanic server in 2.0 and I watched as the english playerbase in MAsamune slowly dried up since new english players went into Tonbery then Kujata etc. So I agree with your point that the possiblity of it happening here is very real as well. Hence I will surely decide before the free transfer expires lolz

I'm part of a fairly small, but tight EN FC with people from all over the world; NA, EU, SEA, JP, OCE, and even the Middle East. I expect that Atomos will see an initial drop when we lose people to Materia, but we may see an increase from people in other regions that get better ping from JP DCs in the long run. We've got a fair number of native EN speakers who live in Japan on our server too. That demographic will likely be our best source of EN speakers going forward.

Yea it will be a tough decision for SE players like me. Unlike australians and NZ players who will get a big improvement in their ping, SE Asia players like me might actually even have worse ping connecting to Australia. At best the ping will be the same so it all comes to population and community. This for me is what is important. If I moved and I don't enjoy it then there would have been zero benefit since ping wise I already don't have benefit haha

See, this is a perfect example of why complaints and complaint threads get backlash. Given that the article says they are aware of this concern and actively gauging community sentiment over it, my guess is you didn't bother to read the article and just complained to complain, like SO many other people on this forum.
