What can we say. The man was right. The prophecy proved itself to be true. And it's exactly why it'll never officially be in game. Why are you or anyone entitled to join whichever party you fancy simply because you want a clear? Forget about parsers. Why can't I put up a party with the expectation of skipping say, Void Gate 2 in E10S or second Merry-go-round in E4S? Both mechanics frequently lead to wipes near the very end of their respective encounters, thereby wasting everyone's time if people screw up. Why am I obligated to help others clear in a party I've set up? Even if my requirements were something silly like, "Catgirls only!" It's my party. Don't join if you dislike my requirements, no matter how arbitrary they may be.

Yoshida's entire stance is simply PR and coddling; both of which he is exceptionally good at. From a business perspective, they want as many people to clear content as possible regardless of how well they perform. Unfortunately, that often isn't enjoyable for the players having to struggle-bus through a fight because the White Mage only wants to heal and the Samurai freestyles their rotation.

Put another way, players are allowed to have expectations. I don't join Learning or "Practice X mechanic" parties with the expectation of smooth clears. On the other hand, if people want to skip mechanics that require high DPS, that is, and should be, their prerogative.

That may get you through the door ... but assuming the company is ran competently you ain't gonna last. In this case even if a static accepted an in-experience in good faith, they'll just be removed for under performance in quick order.

To OP, join any farm PF run of EX content and you'll probably get your log posted at some point. Maybe if someone in your FC on their FC discord can help you? Like a lot of other say, you can ask them to run a couple of EX trials and show them your skills.

And now for the other comments on this post. For one, OP asked about joining when they had no logs available to be used. I think they meanr that it was unfair because they had no logs of prior raiding experience but groups require them to measure if the person is reliable which is fair because you don't want to waste their time. Kind of like when entry jobs irl require you to have 2-3 years of experience but you're fresh out of college.

As for parsing, the tool itself is not evil and people should really get off their high horses and saying stuff like "report them when you see it." For one, you or anyone should not police on how SE and the GMs handle their ban system. If SE catered to everytime someone gets kicked for essentially griefing their group by dying constantly and refusing to actually keep up the pace, then it would be a massive witch hunt.

Yoshi-P may say parsing is not allowed, but will watch and show streamers using them. It's grey area. He doesn't want to deal bad players complaining about not being carried through content because someone bullied them into doing the bare minimum but he certainly knows that outright banning parsers would destroy raiding as a whole. And as much as people want to say "raiding scene is a minority," then why do they make high-end content? Why is there EX, Savage, Ultimate, and Unreal? Let alone have potions, food and gearsets that increase your damage? If the game can 100% survive on being totally casual then they would have already done so, seeing as not having to design said content would lighten their dev time.

But they know the answer, they need a game with variety and raiding is a core part of the game and genre. This has been said a million times before but here we go again.

Don't harass others for playing poorly, but don't harass people for expecting the bare minimum. Don't blame the tool, blame the idiot that uses it to hurt others. Toxic elite players, the game will likely never have official parsers but toxic casuals, you will never be able to delete raiding.

Anyway OP, I hope you find a group and that you'll have a good experience raiding. It's fun with the right mindset and people.

Unfortunately, my government (and I believe many other government) don’t care about competent, they are more about connection and many companies don’t care as long as the person doing the bare minimum.

Enough off topic chitchat, as long as the player reach the target dps, how far above the line have little to no meaning for static party

It does have meaning depending on when you want to clear the tier. People who are aiming to clear within the first few weeks need high dps to make that work because there is less gear available to help you do damage. That's why those groups seek out people with high blue parses and above. In addition, since the fights aren't out yet, statics can only recruit from logs of previous content and make a determination based on that.

pt composition is make or break at least for personal dps.

dnc , rpr , smn , monk , bard , drg ,nin , sch , ast all those jobs bring a dps buff to the table...

That is why the universal metric for parsing is rDPS which subtracts damage received from others' buffs and adds damage others did under your buffs. No one cares about raw dps.

There is no grey zone, third party tools are not allowed in FF 14. Specially for new players, use a parser you might get banned, do not believe what some players say that it is ok to use a parser.
