Read the thread. Its because of a minefiled of laws and regulations between different countries. Some contests have to be held separately with their own rulesets.

So the vibe I'm getting is unless this dream event is taking place in game it could be for all players but since its out of game laws and regulations restrict who is allowed to have prizes.:confused: I dont think not being able to get a level 1 scarf with 5 def is worth getting bent out of shape. Who knows maybe SE will find a way around this and then everybody will have their scarf that will sit in their chest. But please try to be nice to the reps that are helping us while others are enjoying their trip to the US and enjoying golden week.

I lol every time someone complains at Square Enix (not at you know.. the stupid laws in their country) for contests not being available in their region.

I hope these are just 13 year olds that are not aware of these things...

To everyone who is complaining about the contest restrictions: Calm down! You act like SquareEnix is deliberately trying to exclude you when they are beholden to YOUR COUNTRY'S LAWS. Sure it sucks, but it is not the game-maker's fault. Focus your frustration toward fixing your country or state's contest laws and calm down!
