"Gil being worthless" leads to less problems than "I dont have enough gil I'm gonna lose my house oh god no."
Keep that real world stress out of my fun fantasy romp please.

Housing doesn't work well as a gil sink when there are a limited number of houses available.
Your suggested rents are far too high. Most players wouldn't be able to afford that at all, pricing them out of the housing market and thus removing the effectiveness as a gil sink. And most FCs make far less gil than individual players do.
Good gil sinks soak up much of the excess gil getting into the system while leaving the player some gil to spend on other things they want to have. While I'm in favor of having a monthly fee for houses as a gil sink, your suggested amounts are nowhere close to reasonable.
Apologies! Jokes and sarcasm don't always come across in text when you don't know the person well.
*cough*
You know ..... If you all have too much gill , I could be your "gill-sink"
I am sure i could take all your gill you find too much of your hands for a small fee , of course.
And yes, I am joking.
Anyways, wow, you responded fast...
Fair enough, though I still think 3 million gil for someone who can afford a large house is too little. Even these upcoming mounts won't be just 1-2 million gil.
Well, if you're joking, can I not? I promise I don't buy from other players (much) so giving gil to me would be an actual gil sink as my money mostly goes out of the economy.
Add a new move to SAM called "Gil Toss" and have 1k, 10k and 100k versions with adjusted potencies
