If someone said they had just bought gil, what would your reaction be? I'm hoping it wouldn't be "meh, its their choice", but something along the lines of reporting with SS's.

I'm also thinking of quoting the part of the official response to that other thread that says to use caution when visiting RMT sites.... whaddya think people? :D

That was not directed towards you I was referring to the OP. He expects the task force to jump at his command and is getting very upset at the fact they are not pleasing him like he thinks they should. thats what I am talking about there.

My confusion came with you addressing me and then following it with your address to the OP without saying you'd switched targets. Now that it's been clarified, of course, disregard everything in the second paragraph of that post.

As well, many of the things you'd said coincided, strangely enough, with things I'd posted in my Lodestone blog. Another part of the confusion.

We all have out own opinions, views, and thoughts about things in this world. Thats what makes us individuals, but also makes us the same. When it comes to online forums such as this, things get misread more times then not, especially when the views are conflicting like yours and mine. I didn't see the initial post you put till the person quoted you trying to sound like a "smart butt" if you will. Now if he didn't say it like that and just quoted what you said things would of turned out differently, but he used it as "ammo" and it fueled an argument between you and myself. Notice he didnt say anything after he quoted that? That wasn't right imo and kinda cowardly. I do apologize for any inconvenience or trouble that arose from it.

RMT Main Gil Source is Making Gil through either Leves or Fishing
from Leves is gathering 8 man Party all with the same leve and they collect The Awarded Gil.
From Fishing is Bot simply i'v been seeing some wierd names fishing Red coral and Black soles lately.

On a side Note:
At this moment RMT are ruining The Fishing markets Because of Bots etc,
Everything (not all) in the fishing market is 1k and below which isnt very nice
and to make matter worse we got a new issue that is Red coral being droped from Sea hares (Slugs)
Red Coral +1 Is very rare to fish and i mean that its so rare that i only get 10 from 100 tries on Fishing schools and its getting 40k on the markets in Masamune (Idk about other servers prices).

Anyway, I have this saying. If you don't like the game you're playing, stop playing it. Sometimes, it really is that simple.

From the outside looking in it seems to me the OP just wants to know whats going on with RMT for the sake of knowledge and there is nothing wrong with that. Yes their plate is VERY full at the moment working on 2 versions of the game trying to appease everyone with other issues such as pld amongst the other jobs getting the raw deal, people wanting the drop rates for primals revised. Some things get pushed to the back burners that's just life for you regardless what form it is. As for investigations yeah you gotta be careful how you go about it but its easy even for a GM to spot a mass of RMT like whats always at cedarwood on our server. Doesn't take much brains when there is a pile of lalafell piled on each other with names like jghlafgjalkgjh and a linkshell name like sftirotgghkljfg.

Just because it looks like a bot/rmt to you it doesn't automatically follow that it is a bot or rmt. SE can't just ban people on your say so.

Secondly even if it is rmt SE might be using one rmt account to lead them to other rmt accounts connected to the account you reported. They don't have to instantly ban an account if they know its associated with rmt, instead they can use the knowledge you give them to win the larger war against rmt in the game as a whole. Keep reporting suspected rmt, and give the task force the information it needs to do its job.

I would also take the advice about key loggers seriously. For rmt trashing their customers accounts and forcing them to start over could be a way of securing repeat business. Even just visiting those sites without buying anything could expose you to harm.
