No you live in a idealistic fantasy that seems to think the rest of us can’t read tool tips. Your “lol just learn to communicate and learn the skill” mantra is ignorant. When you sit there and just tell people that there is no problem because all you have to do is wait to your HP is low then tell the healer you are about to use your invuln is poor advice. It is asking healers to change the entire way they play and not reactively bene, tetra, lustrate bomb you like they would with every other tank just to deal with one skill in the game and yet it’s the players that are the problem and totally not the skill.

Nice strawman. You’re coming off incredibly entitled right now. This skill isn’t changing how anyone plays the game. How about we focus on actual invulnerability skills that need fixing, i.e. living dead.

When I was doing the Titania EX on my SCH with an AST cohealer we decided to lock out DRK from the group. We decided to lock them out because of how stressful it was for both of us to get them back to 100% HP. We ended up picking a Warrior to do that mechanic and it worked fantastic. He would tank the first hit then pop his invuln cooldown for the 2nd and 3rd hits. We didn't need to get him to 100% HP, so it made handling the mechanic stress free.

When the AST dropped out and we got a WHM we let DRK's join our group. That's just my experience though, I don't understand why I as a healer have to suffer for some tanks mechanic that needs to be fixed.

I don't think it's that "idealistic fantasy" to pop an invuln when I think I'm gonna die and then wait for the healer to pop a couple heals on me while I'm invincible. Or before doing the run, just going "hey I'm gonna superbolide for this mech". Everything you're saying at this point comes off as entitled like you're speaking on behalf of how every single healer players. Sorry to burst your bubble, but you don't. Also that last sentence just makes me think you're spoiled lol. Healers and tanks need a synergy to work together, you're here going "wah, I don't wanna change how I play for another tank". Too bad? It's really not that different to hit X button instead of Y button after a GNB activates superbolide.

I also never said you wait until your health gets low to say something to your healer lmao... You're just making crap up at this point. You're not painting healers in a good light here like you think you are by whining about something every healer I've been with has adjusted to. Even that aside, you're conjuring up excuses and putting words in people's mouth because you're so flustered with your own healing style being unable to adapt to new jobs. I'm sorry(I guess?) but... good god get over it.

Problem solved. You get 10 seconds to get the guy up to sustainable HP, that's basically forever in the heat of the moment.

From healer perspective, in my opinion it works exactly like Living Dead or Holmgang. As a healer, I will tell the tank I will wait for them to use their invulnerability before I will go for my Benediction. As a Gunbreaker tank, I will tell my healer I will be using my Superbolide if I'm dropping low and to save their Benediction (or other big cooldowns) until after. As a White Mage, instead of doing Regen + Holy spam + watch the tank HP and Bene (or other heal) if it goes low, now you'll just Regen + Holy spam + watch the tank HP, wait for them to use invulnerability and when it's about to end, then Bene (or other heal). I play PLD and GNB and have all the healers at 80 and I really don't understand what is so difficult about this?

well sometimes u ait for them to use invul .. they don't and they die and u look stupid

plus some healers don't play tank and sometimes don't know the exact CD or duration or death saves. last time a tank told me he's use HG on his next trash pull ... but he used it too early while full hp and then died coz I mistakely thought he used it at right time.
Same on my new 80 drk .. I sometimes use LD just in case (coz I see my health droping real low) .. but it's wasted coz the healer manages to get me up .. and other times it triggers and the healer doesn't manage to bring my HP back up and I die.

in PuG .. it can be easy or it cannot be. It really depends on players, how they are used to play .. their experience with the other class and so on. So u try to adapt but it's not always easy.

Granted, it's nowhere near as big of a problem with Superbolide as it is Living Dead. LD is a suicide button, whereas Superbolide can really only lead directly to your death if latency decides to screw you over on the invuln tick.

I've still never run into that issue personally but I usually only superbolide a big incoming hit when I see it or I know to get away and superbolide first out of reflex. I also like having aurora ready just in case the healer for some reason can't top me off in 8 seconds but meh. If I die, they either ask why or I bring it up. Its really not that difficult to say something into party chat imo. Majority of the time we shouldn't really need to use our emergency buttons for regular dungeons anyways, but in the cases you do it shouldn't be all that bothersome.
