We need another Housing purge

There were no changes made with the post-4.1 housing to reclaim FCs; the only changes were that now, FCs had to have at least 4 members, and none of them could be in a different FC already. Nothing was done to solo-FCs that owned properties before these new rules were put in place with the introduction of Wards 13 through 18; they were all grandfathered in like the multiple plot owners were.

No, thank you. Because what happens if a player that happens to be in an FC (not the leader), but owns a personal house is suddenly made leader because the FC leader went AWOL and ownership transferred. Are they to just lose their personal house now because they happened to suddenly receive ownership of an FC house? FC houses are owned by the entirety of the FC’s members, not just the leader. Hence why there is a “1 personal, 1 FC” rule.

My first post in this thread has been deleted where I put up a picture of a housing ward with 16 houses claimed with the same FC tag. This was meant to clarify what the topic creator was intending to point out. I imagine it was deleted to prevent something like persecution taking place, so I won't be clarifying any further or reposting the image, but I also feel it necessary to bring it up so that anyone who has misunderstood the meaning of anything here may be given a chance to understand what has taken place.

Whats been taking place is that you have no idea what the actual rules are.

They did not put all those restrictions for people to work around them:
2.1 Cheating and Botting. You may not create or use any unauthorized cheats, bots, automation software, hacks, mods or any other unauthorized software or hardware designed to modify the Game and gameplay. In addition, you may not take advantage of game system bugs and exploits during gameplay.
It is a CLEAR ToS violation.

You cannot have people owning multiple homes when they make them so limited.

For the topic itself there was never a purge, not sure what you expect SE to do.

I think people can understand seeing they are using both accounts here to brag about it to begin with, and liking eachother's posts.

Maybe you're right. You called those who don't have houses as lazy or else they'd have a house. If they took your houses by getting SE to act, would you still call them lazy after they have houses?

Regardless of where the ruling stands at this exact moment, you're one player who feels justified in stepping all over the rest of the player base. Tell me, how many active players are in your FC other than yourself? One of the complaints that's been lodged against house owners is the lack of activity in the wards. How many of your houses can you actively use at once? My guess would be one.

In the face of all of those who want to get into housing, do you really feel that you are morally correct in claiming 18 houses for yourself?

Except the person I quoted didn't specific if players would be grandfathered in or if this applied to FC leaders and/or members who have access to a FC house and a personal one. Hence why I asked for clarification on their proposed idea—something they have yet to provide.

I own less than 1% of the houses on Gilgamesh, it's not like I own an entire city-state housing area. There's 7 active players in my FC. I use all my FC houses for an insane amount of tier 3 FC buffs. So yes, I think my actions are justified.

The housing rules only applied to the purchase of the land, after which there's no checks on what is going on with the fc or estate. Square can close the 'loophole' if they so choose. One method would be to have a check in place for fc ownership swaps. If the person being given leadership of an fc with house wouldn't qualify for a purchase then deny leadership transfer. In the case of the system automatically choosing a new leader (leader leaves/inactivity) pass leadership to the person in line that would qualify for purchase, if there is none then the house explodes and the plot is up for grabs again. They could add checks as to the population, but that would be more complex as to be fair they'd need a timer to give the leader a chance to get more people (and a timer can be cheesed so you'd really need to get overly complicated).

7 people do not need 18 houses between them. But hey, you're owning up to your greed, so kudos on that.

It might only be a fraction to you, but you're consuming 9 to 18 times what any other player would have, if they even have a house at all.

My point is that 8 players can't be in 18 different locations at once. You own more than half of a subdivision + 2 houses in other zones, but you still see it as a minimal impact. Putting the morality of it aside, Level 3 company actions wouldn't require anywhere near 18 houses to maintain two of them up on a permanent basis.
