Back when I played FFXI, two of my friends were getting married ingame. The GM that was hosting it was speaking in rhymes... it seemed extremely scripted, so I assumed it was just a bot or someone pressing macros on the other end. Anyway... when the crowd was getting rowdy (talking too much, not quieting down to let the ceremony begin), I said something akin to, "Guys, be quiet. The NPC is trying to speak."
Without skipping a beat, the 'npc' emote slapped me and then said... "I AM NOT AN NPC."
Yep, I was slapped by a GM and put in my place...
A wonderful FFXIV experience tonight.

That happened with myself and my guild as well, about a few weeks back, we did a bunch a bunch of emotes, threw the newspaper icon around and the GM sat with us talking as we craft in our spot.
