The short answer is not evolution actually. The tissues that are the nipple and the areola serve one purpose on males: To prove that male humans are mammals. That is the first and foremost reasoning for them.

If it has nipples(or teets as they are called for many feral animals) it is a mammal if it doesn't, then it is not a mammal.
Yes, Dolphins, and whales are mammals. They just live in the water because they're weird.

Hence the term "Mammary"

As far as I am aware it's a stylistic choice, and while I have nothing against male nipples, it would be really weird to start seeing them all of a sudden now so I wouldn't be in favour of it.

ecchi/えっち is actually the japanese pronunciation for the letter H which would stand for "hentai" in context. over the years and over time it kinda became the not-so-pervy version of hentai when used in the west
