I don't really recall seeing anyone say SE was "poor" per say, and I did read the entire thread. I remember people saying they have expenses like any other company, which is true. Organizing events like this isn't cheap, so they need to find some way to try and break even and make a profit, just like any other company would.Quote:

I would feel bad if I got to see all the important stuff (keynote, panels, concert) for free when people have to pay $135 USD + possible airfare and hotel. Yeah, they're there in person and get to experience everything and there's a bunch of other stuff stream viewers don't get but that's why the stream is a lot less than $135. That's just me though.

They think they can hide their art behind a paywall when all it takes is one person to pledge, DL high res files, cancel the sub and give it to their friends.
