THANK YOU for the Deep Dungeon!

I like it a lot too. I love how there is no specific role you need to join a party so everyone gets faster queue times. It reminds me a lot of FFXI where you sometimes just have to make due with whoever you can find to get EXP or progress, it felt more like a open world when things weren't so controlled. The control nature of FFXIV does have its perks, but it's nice to have freedom for some content and I fill this is a step in the right direction.

Another amazing thing is there are no gear requirements meaning people can just jump in and play with their friends and have a good time without worrying if they are l33t or not. Good job, SE. :D

I love seeing threads like this. Yes, thanks to all the wonderful people who work on this game! I was looking forward to Palace of the dead pretty much since it was announced. Is it perfect? Far from it, but as it stand its a fun little distraction with pretty decent rewards. I personally am probably going to grind out a weapon for my alt class and then wait for the later floors to be released. Its really great that you can level up a class and work towards a weapon that will serve as an entry point to endgame all at once.

I'm having a lot of fun with it so far and I really like how random the parties I get grouped with are. It was funny going from no healers in one group to having 2 the next.

i had 3 healers in 31-40 floors last night was fun being the only dps lolbut in saying that had no heals for next floors :( wiped on final boss with about 30% hp left.... 3 of them got hit by the cold feet and in health combo lol

I, too, love palace of the dead and I concur with magickman from state of the realm podcast that this is a brilliant new content that is open for all players and not just max level ones. If I'm disappointed in anything is how a part of the community has "appreciated" it, makes you feel like we can't have nice things :(
