Wow, i'm seriously disappointed with the 1st part of the interview.
All that whining, making up excuses and stuff, giving totally wrong information...
Once again i feel ashamed of being german...

Saying that NA's lag is as little as Japans's lag.. what nonsense!
NA's lag is just as bad as EU's lag!

And what's that *** about
"NA or JP got 4-5 seconds longer to evade Plumes" - What the heck!
Plume doesn't even last 2 seconds, how could they have 4-5 seconds to evade??

And getting hit from a plume or so 10 meters away?
Maybe from 3~5 steps outside the circle, but def not from 10 meters.

Srsly, this is just general latency, JP got it, NA got it, EU got it - everyone does.
It's just a little worse for NA and EU, since they're further away from the servers.

Really tho, they should add /sarcasm notes or so to their interview.

This is the only real problem, If you can't do it, don't blame the game, blame yourself.
I'm german, living in germany and I can show you the "Damage taken" parses of my NA team.
There is def almost no difference between NA and EU lag.

I would be fine with a temporary jump with DSII animation and an evade buff until they release 2.0 as long as I can evade incoming damage and do high damage with it.

This interview made me swoon for 2.0. The Dragoon will be glorious.

I wonder if it will be:

30 CNJ + 15 THM = WHM
30 THM + 15 CNJ = BLM

This will allow the black mage to use the elemental attacks from CNJ and actually make sense.

I imagine Drg and War will work like Thf and Sam in XI. Thf needed to focus on the proper conditions to create massive critical damage. A lot of Drg's abilities focus on enmity mitigation already so it could fit.

I foresee War being a weapon skill-focused class. Most likely utilizing self combos to create better weapon skills.

um actually lancer really only has one skill that has anything to do with enimity, most our abilities focus on building TP or reducing TP

Hate to use this as an example, but in MapleStory/Sea there's a class where you have to input button combos (kind of like a fighter) and your damage was purely based on your ability to chain combos.

So if its anything like that, it'll be easy to balance because it's balance is in the mechanic itself.

Yah I'm pretty interested in this Combo stuff Yoshida-san is talking about.

It could possibly be like Sabin (Final Fantasy III (U.S. (SNES)) / VI (JP)) with multiple inputs, or I hope Yoshida-san is referring to the new Skillchain / Renkei / Regimen System that's replacing the Battle Regimen System, coming soon! :)

Can't wait.

Yeah or given how with FFXIII you can stack commands, something of that nature as well.
