This rotation comes short on progress (4 points) for the new ironworks/high mythrite stuff. (930 craft, 930 control)

Cool. I made my BSM OH so I should be well over the stats now (it saves soo much time).
Yeah I'm basically just using the Muscle Memory Macro approach at this point and making sure I have 3k starting quality and not thinking about what I'm doing at all ;-) I am a terrible crafter lol.
After fiddling around with the Muscle Memory rotation (and nearly going crazy trying to remember all those steps), I think I've got the hang of it. Being able to make my own HQ Seafood Stew is a big advantage and gets me to 460 CP, which makes 2* synthing far less harrowing (I still don't trust Hasty Touch entirely).
Could someone elaborate on what these might be? I haven't been unlucky enough to have my Bryegots land on a poor when macro crafting, but now that I know it's a possibility I'm wondering how you can hedge against that.
Short of breaking off your ending steps into multiple macros you use conditionally depending on if you got an excellent or not, is there any way to build in protection logic into the macro itself? Maybe that's a little outside the scope of what a script can do.. but I was wondering if it was possible.
I'm guessing Precise Touch or Tricks comes into play, if you insert it as a dummy action that only executes if you get a good/excellent, and gets skipped with a harmless "Cannot execute at this time" if not. But I'm drawing a blank as to how that would work in practice.
A lot of people save an extra 18 CP for Innovation and use that as the filler ability.
Great Strides -> Good/Excellent? -> Byregot's Blessing
Excellent -> Great Strides -> Poor? -> Innovation -> Good/Excellent/Normal -> Byregot's Blessing.
Basically you use Byregot's Brow two steps before Byregot's Blessing. What this does then is if a good or excellent pops your Byregot's brow will activate consuming the good/excellent in your macro automatically. This prevents you from ever consuming a poor, resulting in much better average synths. This works BEST when you have one extra step inbetween your Greaterstrides (innovate or ingenuity) so the Byregot's is always under greaterstrides aswell. My new macro using this can be seen in the thread here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...including-i190

Ah, Bryegot's Brow, of course. That makes sense, thanks for the explanation.
SH -> Excellent? (Yes : Byregot's. No : Great Strides) -> Good/Excellent? (Yes : Byregot's. No : Innovation) -> Byregot's. That, of course, is stopping after the Byregot's that you actually use.
Excellent is a multiplier of 4 on the Touch. Great Strides is 2. Good is 1.5. Innovation is less than that 1.5. I'm not sure whether Ingenuity 1 or 2 should be used before or after the Innovation, if you have the CP for another Condition fishing move. If you have the CP for it but not for Ing 1/2, use Observe once after the Innovation to fish for a Good/Excellent.
