I'm pretty sure Fig. 9 was used to announce the addition of Free Company housing.
The left poster in Fig. 9 is Nael van Darnus and Bahamut, the right one was for Free Company Housing, I believe.
the one with 2 little guys wearing red might be red mages
Thinking back wasn't the moon/Dalamud part of the old 1.0 storyline that had to get scrapped with the old game design? It'd be odd for them to revisit that idea, unless its an instanced outer space battle field like the Empyreal Paradox in FFXI.
Could be worse, it could be Hildabrand that tries to stop it by out running it before he gets ran over (like in FF6). I'm thinking it may be more of an area mechanic, or a minion prize like the chicken was from Battle at the big keep.
I've been able to recognize all the artwork except for that one poster. Seems like I wasn't the only one to take pictures of them. If only I can gif that guy on the horse.
Everyone seems to be overlooking the biggest twist of them all. Yoshi-P can speak impeccable English without the help of a translator (and probably more but I only played through with one language). Why on Earth does he bring translators around with him? What secrets does he hide?
Perhaps a translator was hiding in the scenery and throwing his/her voice during the cutscenes? Maybe the translators had done something bad and Yoshi-P decided that he would deny them a cameo? What a strange man.
That's because he's not speaking English, he's speaking the common tongue of Hydaelyn (I'd call it Eorzean except people new to Eorzea already know it) which through the magic of the client software is translated to the language of your choice. The fact that the common tongue is English with different letter shapes is beside the point.
Yeah, the Echo explains that away perfectly. You understand Sylphic, Amaljic, Dravanian, Ascian-language all the same as you can understand Japanese perfectly.
You know what I found interesting out of the whole thing (I don't know if anyone else mentioned this), but the four characters we interacted with before going to the floor were the models they used for Sokken, Ferne and two of the others.
It took me running through the quest three times to fully realize that and I heard the lala that gives the quest is Yoshida's actual character
