I main DPS and I totally support this. Saying "you try being DPS" when you have shit DPS is like a healer saying "you try being healer" when he lets a decent tank die to everything.
As for the reason for super bad DPS...
I make my own rotations based on... IDK, logic? The action/skill descriptions are pretty spot on, I don't know why it's so hard for every other DPS to make their own rotations that they need a step-by-step guide for their job actions. Even without a DPS meter you can check in the battle log for the various effects of skills that support each other. There's also the thing about joining specific parties: if you don't know the duty from start to finish, don't join a clear attempt party. How is this so difficult to understand? Join a PRACTICE party instead. What, did you want a carry? Did you think "oh gosh I've never seen the last phase but I'm sure I can just hop through it!"
